La Veranda - Ristorante del Poggio degli Olivi In Bettona

My husband and I wanted a one-night getaway from Rome, so we accidentally found this place and fell in love! A wonderful location immersed in the tranquility of the greenery, rooms resembling cozy and well-equipped mountain huts, always kind and helpful, a truly luxurious panoramic pool, a wonderful breakfast (which, fortunately, given the September weather, we enjoyed outside with a view of Assisi and Santa Maria degli Angeli!), and we took advantage of the Osteria Di Vin Porcello for a truly top-quality lunch on Saturday! Local, organic products, and ingredients from their own production (we even bought the amaro made with the leaves of their olive trees!). We're happy to have found a little corner of paradise where we can escape when we want a 100% relaxing weekend!

We stayed in this facility for 5 days, cold welcome, rooms, swimming pool and restaurant not suitable for families with small children or disabled people who need a wheelchair, stairs everywhere, zero ramps.. Rooms a bit old, shower tray gaskets that leak, bathroom a bit flooded.. The facility's restaurant is open every day only for dinner, for lunch you have to make do, either go out or eat at the pool bar (exaggerated prices for the menu it offers) there is no alternative not even a plate of pasta on the fly for a small child.. Tennis court yes but bring your own balls otherwise you won't play. Infinity pool very nice, shame about the uncomfortable loungers that need a mattress, and no umbrella.. Outdoor gym area impracticable, in the middle of scrub, not to mention the gazebos, tables all dusty, I don't see care.. beautiful place but not well cared for, and then a little smile to the guests every now and then could be done.. the place is beautiful but needs a lot of maintenance, the price is high for what they actually offer.

The overnight accommodation area, currently being renovated and used only for a formal dinner, reflects the good local food featured in the Quattro Ristoranti programme, with excellent drinks too.
