Very good food, good service, very attentive and kind owner, excellent quality and price

First time at La Vecchia Posta, I said I was from Lucca and I didn't know it existed... unique price, quality and quantity!

I'm from Lucca but I don't go to restaurants. Following the excellent comments of several friends, my wife and I came here for dinner on Saturday evening. We ate very well! We all took fish dishes and it was all good and the portions were really generous. Furthermore, no small feat for a Lucchese native, the prices are super honest! I recommend everyone to try this place.

We returned after a few years for lunch. And as always, excellent cuisine, generous portions. The environment is very well looked after and in the same way very welcoming and clean. We were lucky enough to be served with customer care and a smile that never Never mind compliments to the waitress!! and to all the staff. "If you pass by there it is a place not to be missed"

Excellent food, good tortelli and soft meat. There are not many meat dishes and the price system is strange (basic €19 with first and second course but increases for some dishes from €2 to €6).

Locale non trascendentale, nel bagno le tovagliette del treno per asciugarsi le mani. Con la cucina iniziamo a ragionare: impepata di cozze super ( ma un filo d’olio sopra non ci sarebbe stato male), tortelli al ragù buoni, tiramisù TOP.

Ci siamo stati durante una breve vacanza a Lucca. Non compare nelle ricerche alla voce ristorante , ma trattoria, e secondo me è immeritato. Cucinano il pesce molto bene, con prezzi che definire onesti è riduttivo. Ci siamo trovati talmente bene la prima sera che abbiamo prenotato anche per la sera successiva. Simpaticissima e professionale Alina, ti fa sentire'a casa'. Consigliatissimo.

Every time it's a pleasure. The lady is very nice, affable and super efficient. Very good price. I've been going there for years. I also bring friends who come from far away.

We wanted some place away from the city center .. this was less then 3 km form where we were staying .. right near the bridge , easy to miss .. so worth finding.. the owner and his wife served and cooked all the food.. pretty amazing how quickly ( Italian time ) we got waited on and served .. she was so attentive and knew we couldn’t understand the menu .. so every time she walked by with someone else’s dish she stopped to show us and say the name .. the seafood first appitizer was so fresh and perfectly cooked .. my gnocchetta was off the chain ! Perfectly seasoned with a light tomato cream sauce .. called carbonara Di mare.. we were so full we were going to pass on “dolce” but we did get one each .. my husband had a gelato Creme brûlée crust with some kind of liquer that was a surprise , so flavorful. I got a chocolate cream filled beignet .. oh my .. could not stop eating it .. very sweet local non touristy food and pricing .. would go back anytime..
