La Vaca Loca In Podenzano

Very nice place, kind and helpful staff, excellent meat and desserts too.

We had dinner at Vaca Loca with my partner and we were really satisfied. Excellent quality meat, generous portions and absolutely fair price for what is offered. The environment is simple, homely and very welcoming, you immediately feel at ease. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the evening. A beautiful dinner in a place that I recommend without hesitation!

We went last night (Sunday) with me, my wife, my son and 2 dogs. The food is very good, excellent food. The staff is very friendly. I highly recommend it.

A friend had been mentioning this restaurant to me for a long time but I had never been able to figure out where it was located. Then I finally ended up in the area again on a Sunday afternoon and had time to go around and explore the area. Not being located on a high traffic road but rather in a small agricultural hamlet (Turro, in fact), it was not easy to discover. The restaurant has its own car park at the back but I parked a little further on, on the street. The place is very nice, well furnished, with large rooms and quick and attentive staff. Even without having booked it wasn't a problem to get a table for us. We opted for an appetizer of mixed empanadas but I didn't particularly like them: inside they were at a thousand degrees celsius when they were served to us, and I almost burned my mouth... I didn't even particularly like the fillings (I still have in mind the delights of the empanadas consumed in Latin America... unfortunately these don't come even a little close to that goodness... only aesthetically, I could say that they are similar, although more small). Then the grilled meat for two people at a modest €56 was not of such excellent quality as the waitress praised... I didn't like it at all but we had it prepared to take away, at least it didn't have to be consumed given what it cost. Even the desserts didn't particularly impress us although my creme de leche was still passable. Let's say that the tastes of the dishes consumed were not exciting. The bill however was quite steep. Be careful if you go to pay at the cash desk at the entrance using their POS card! At the time of payment, the owner, Mr. Massimiliano, was far too accommodating and friendly. Unfortunately, on the first payment attempt everything seemed to have gone well, while according to him the payment had not gone through and so he asked me for the card to try a second payment... which instead seemed to have gone through this second time, then asking me to confirm that the payment receipt with the POS would not have been useful to me so he would have thrown it away. Then he offered us a round of bitters at the bar counter, to end the evening in style. Except that, five days later, checking the expenses in my current account, I see that I have two identical payments in the same way and for the same amount of dinner, accounted for two days later, for the same restaurant. I went there to ask for explanations and was promptly reimbursed for the stolen goods. My experience was therefore positive despite the payment mishap. I think that from now on, if I ever go back, I will only pay in cash.

Decent meat but for the price paid there are many better meat restaurants with much more refined cuts of meat

We come here as soon as we can, every time it's always top from the welcome to the service. Very soft and quality Argentine meat! It's worth it. See you soon!

Carne molto buona, cucinata in modo ottimale; diversi tagli a disposizione, idem i vini. Personale molto gentile e cortese. location informale ma carina, sia all'interno che all'esterno in estate. merita se siete amanti della carne.
