The homey atmosphere makes you feel right at home in the heart of Tuscany (as a woman born in Umbria, I can only appreciate that!!). Chiara welcomed us: an incredible smile, lively black eyes, and incredibly fast. We decided to start with a delicious appetizer of Margherita pizza, focaccia, "special livers," and local prosciutto. The livers were mixed with a little minced beef, truly tasty and a refreshing alternative. Next up were grilled pigeon and rabbit. The pigeon was incredible, but I think the rabbit (which I love to cook) would have been better jugged or pan-fried, as it would have been less dry. Honestly, it's a place I'd happily return to. The menu also included the legendary Florentine steak (photo of which I stole from the diners near us) and pasta with wild boar ragù! If you're visiting Vinci, make sure to book this restaurant well in advance.

An ancient restaurant with an old-world warmth.
It's a shame about the appetizer, which I think is too "touristy" (the only other item, however, is that someone told me there was a table with pickles and other vegetables I could help myself to, but I didn't see it during lunch, and the waiters didn't even point it out to me).
On the other hand, the first and second courses were truly excellent, with excellent wild boar ragi and a truly tender and juicy steak. Perhaps my advice would be to serve it separately and bring the grill, because if you eat it slowly, you either remove it all immediately or the last bites will be overcooked and stringy.

This is the fourth or fifth time we've eaten at Torretta, and I can say that the food is good and the place is welcoming. Unfortunately, this time the review has to be less positive.
The service leaves much to be desired: the waiter (I don't know if he's part of the ownership) seems tired even before starting and gives the impression of doing customers a favor by seating them. Furthermore, he exhibits unprofessional behavior, such as constantly touching his pants... and I'll stop there!!! This is definitely not pleasant.
I have nothing to say about the rest of the staff, who appear to be hardworking.
The food at Torretta is good, but the service needs improvement. Parking is about a 5-minute walk away.

The Florentine steak is truly worthy of a five-star rating, sublime! Friendly service (even if they don't show you the cut of the meat), a typical location, like a medieval village. The only flaw is the lack of exhaust fans. You'll leave feeling "smoked." But it's worth it if you want to satisfy your meat cravings.

A historic restaurant where I've eaten several times and where the quality of food and service has always been the same. For me, it's always been a pleasant experience and I recommend it.
