01/08/2024: It's the 1st time I've been to this place.
What can I say, a typical friendly and homely environment, but with that extra touch that makes everything more.....
Today I let myself be spoiled by the Chef, and I did badly....just kidding....
To start, a nice artichoke Giudia style which, even though I'm not a fan of artichokes, was amazing.
Next, it can't be called flat, it was oval and very large, full of oxtail that reminded me of my childhood.
All accompanied by 1/4 of semi-smooth red wine.
To finish, a nice cup of tiramisu and a coffee
I would say the price is correct, in fact a little lower.
Thanks Filippo, a really nice lunch
Now go to bed 🤤😴
😂😂😂
As I usually do, I never give 5⭐ the first time I go to a restaurant, even if at the moment it's worth every one.
PS: Congratulations to the service, if there hadn't been the bib that they literally put on me, I would have left with my shirt completely wrapped up.
25/07/2024: Highly recommended by friends, I went there on Monday with my daughter and her partner to try "at least" some typical dishes among the many offered on the menu, which I personally had no memory of. Honestly, given my age and diabetes, wisdom should have suggested me to "limit" the dishes, but I was really curious...
We started with a "Roman-style fried dish", which we shared, and an appetizer of ricotta and honey. Really tasty and plentiful dishes, already able to saturate my stomach... It should be noted that the fried food included pieces of brains, which I adore and hadn't eaten for at least 20 years.
Unable to make a choice on the first courses, we decided to order "cacio e pepe", "gricia" and "carbonara", these too shared to taste as much as possible... All very good, but particular praise for the "cacio e pepe" pepper", particularly delicate and tasty.
To finish, a "vaccinara tail"... to scream. Abundant dish and literally covered in the vegetables used for the sauce in which it is cooked. If it hadn't been for the fact that I was really full, I would have polished the plate by making the "slipper" with the bread, served in quantity... Leaving the seasoning (I really couldn't stand it anymore....) was a mortal sin ...
Dinner accompanied by house wine and concluded with a good herbal Amaro and coffee.
Characteristic atmosphere, excellent service, very kind staff and friendly owner.
More than fair prices for a quality dinner.
We will definitely be back, but I already know that choosing the dishes will be dramatic...
Compliments!
