It was recommended to us by friends at the nearby 20th-century WWII museum across the street. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating and is just steps from the lake. Convenient parking is also suitable for those with walking difficulties. The food is good at prices in line with competitors; we'll be back in the summer to eat outside. Recommended

We booked and were greeted promptly and courteously. The cuisine is excellent, featuring top-quality seasonal produce. I had tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, and it was fabulous.

A small tavern with wonderful regional cuisine! The food is cooked with heart and skill. The pasta sauce was perfectly matched to the fish! The mascarpone cream in the tiramisu tasted just like Nonna's. Excellent value for money!

It was a wonderful discovery. We visited last Saturday with family and friends. The simple and welcoming restaurant has a charming little square in front with views of the lake and a narrow street leading down to the pedestrian lakeside promenade. We ate typical local dishes, made with the highest quality ingredients, fresh porcini mushrooms, local pike, and exceptional olive oil. The icing on the cake was the friendliness and warmth of Frank, the tavern manager, who accommodated our requests, always with a smile and amusing anecdotes. I highly recommend it.

On our arrival day, we spontaneously decided to stop at La Taverna del Lago – the small restaurant is right next to our accommodation and its cozy location immediately appealed to us. The moment we stepped inside, we were enveloped in genuine Italian flair: simple, friendly, and with a pleasantly tranquil atmosphere. The service was very warm and attentive. A particularly nice touch was the waitress's personal recommendation during the appetizer – she explained the best order in which to try the different types of sausage. A small gesture that made all the difference! For our appetizer, we had a selection of Italian sausages, which tasted absolutely delicious. My partner chose the hummus with beetroot, which was truly enchanting – a wonderful, fresh combination. For our main courses, we had spaghetti with a three-meat ragù and spaghetti with mussels in olive oil. Both dishes were well-seasoned and authentically prepared. The mussel dish was a particular highlight – perfectly cooked and wonderfully aromatic. The pasta in the ragù was a touch too al dente, and the portion could have been a bit larger after a long day of travel. Prices are average, though slightly higher than what you might expect from smaller restaurants in Italy itself. Overall, however, we had a wonderful first evening with delicious food, excellent service, and a truly authentic Italian atmosphere.
