I am pleased to give 5 stars to this tavern, I do so with pleasure. First of all, the really excellent food, good wine and lots of choice! The service was carried out by two young people who were very attentive to requests and very friendly and hospitable. Finally, the truly crazy Cilento cake! We can't wait to return. We had a centao in the outdoor garden on the lawn....fantastic experience!

In Controne you eat beans, a local excellence to be enjoyed at the Taverna degli ancient flavors. The tubes with bianxhi beans are delicious, the extra virgin olive oil isn't the best but it's okay, the fusilli with tomato sauce are delicate and the grilled sausage is superb. The house wine is slightly tannic but it's okay. Donato is very kind and doesn't appear annoyed when we ask him to list the menu... we will definitely be back to try the typical Sicilian frappato wine.

You go to eat the famous Controne beans and homemade pasta. Truly exquisite dishes even if of poor tradition. The two waitresses were kind and helpful. Small and spartan environment, but welcoming if you are not looking for a place with great effect. Good house wine. Definitely good prices. The first courses for the price of a pizza. The only discordant note at the end of the meal without any liqueur. No bitters, no grappas or anything else. Being without them on August 15th denotes poor planning of supplies. However I will return.'

Place with a beautiful garden where you can eat outdoors. The night we had dinner there was fried pizza and live music. Truly a nice atmosphere! The sausage with beans (typical of the place) is very good. Advised!
