Super friendly people. Unfortunately, we were there four hours before opening. The waiter simply gave us some food that was just being prepared in the kitchen. It was incredibly delicious and one of the best things we ate on our Italian vacation.

On the recommendation of some friends, we decided to try this small restaurant in Controne, the city of beans.
Their specialty, the Controne bean, is the protagonist of the entire menu, from appetizers to main courses.
We were served by Donato, extremely kind and helpful, who carefully recommended dishes and an excellent wine to pair.
We started with a platter of local cured meats and goat's cheese, served with fresh bread.
The beans in olive oil were truly delicious, accompanied by crostini and crusco peppers.
The handmade pappardelle with beans were a delightful surprise: simple yet rich in flavor.
To finish, we chose a dessert with ricotta and fig jam, paired with the delicious Zibibbo wine that was recommended to us.
Everything was perfect: from the dishes to the service, to the welcoming atmosphere.
I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area... or coming specifically for it; it's definitely worth it!

I was passing through after a reggae/dub festival, and the surrounding area was fantastic! I stopped for a pizza.
"A baker's pizza" and a Campanian specialty: the pizza was excellent, perfectly cooked, with excellent dough and perfect ingredients.
Thanks to the guys at the pizzeria and the waiter who welcomed me with such kindness and professionalism, I really appreciated.
I had dinner outside in the village. After dinner, I went back because I had lost my purse, which they carefully kept for me. I asked for a digestive, and they didn't even charge me.
I will definitely be back.

A very rustic osteria that welcomes guests indoors and in an outdoor garden.
We've been there often with friends, and a few days ago we returned. The food is excellent, expertly cooked. The homemade pasta with beans is unsurpassed, as is the pizza with escarole and beans. The friendly young staff serves you. We'll be back again. 💯💯💯💯

I cannot recommend enough the Taverna Degli Antichi Sapori.
We arrived around the end of the shift, and initially we were turned down, as only a table of three was finishing eating.
But after 5 min of my friend and I trying to look for a place to eat, the co-owner stepped out and proposed to cook a porc steack and local beans that we ended topping with a delicious seasonal cheesecake. The quality of the product, and the hospitality was really unmatched and we knew he and his team were working extra. Thank you again, and cannot wait to come back with a booking ;).

A warm welcome awaits you at Taverna degli Antichi Sapori, where you can enjoy traditional local cuisine. We loved the pappardelle with beans and mushrooms; we also highlight the careful selection of ingredients, often locally sourced. The staff is friendly and welcoming.
The only downside, but it's negligible, is the wait.

Siamo stati benissimo, accolti con professionalità dal giovane e gran cerimoniere Donato, top!!!! Mangiato benissimo seguendo il percorso culinario indicatoci da Donato, dove l'ha fatta da padrone sua maestà " il fagiolo di Controne " in tutte le salse, buonissimo. Vino della casa blend di aglianico, sangiovese, merlot, ottimo. Prezzo giusto. Alla prossima. P.S . Molto carino Controne, ma soprattutto la convivialità e giovialita' dei residenti.

Ottima accoglienza , ottimi i ravioli della nonna
Per i secondi ci siamo affidati : carne di maiale tenera e gustosa con le popaccelle con contorno scarola con i faggioli del luogo.
Che dire , si trova a pochi minuti da Salerno facilmente raggiungibile con uscita Campagna direzione Controne paese.
