We went there at the beginning of the summer for a pizza dinner, preceded by a tasting of appetizers with local products; everything seemed good quality, including draft beer; the view of the Aeolian Islands at sunset was surprising; the atmosphere was a bit noisy, perhaps because of the Champions League final on the screen...

The food is excellent... They cook stockfish in many ways, the pizza is delicious, the room is large, from the veranda you can admire a wonderful view of the Gioia Tauro plain... Very clean environment, there is plenty of parking...

Excellent! This is the only way to describe the quality and flavor of the dishes during a tasting session of rare delicious stockfish cooked with skill, balance of flavors and choice of refined, high-quality raw materials (e.g. oil, stockfish). Impeccable service. Well done and thanks for a Sunday lunch to be repeated more often because it is unforgettable. Eugenio & Simona

Not bad...but more can be done. A frontispiece at the entrance...since as soon as someone opens the door, a cold arrives that freezes you. Then on busy evenings, an extra waiter would be enough

26/06/2025: If you are looking for a place where you can eat well and not leave hungry, Ristorante Pizzeria Medmea in Rosarno is a good choice. It is known for its abundant dishes, genuine flavors and an excellent quality-price ratio. The menu ranges from typical Calabrian cuisine to pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven, with specialties such as stroncatura alla Medmea, grilled fish and generous first courses that are often enough for two. The atmosphere is rustic and welcoming, perfect for both a quick stop and for dinners with friends. The service is fast and friendly, even at peak times.
24/06/2025: I went to this restaurant for a lunch break before continuing to Catanzaro. Very large restaurant, with many tables and seats. Very varied menu of both meat and fish of good quality and maxi portions. Suitable for families or travellers. Recommended by truck drivers, so a guarantee.

26/04/2025: Torno con un gruppo di amici in questo ristorante del quale conservavo un ottimo ricordo. La qualità dei piatti è forse anche superiore ai miei ricordi gustativi della visita precedente. Tuttavia il servizio non è più all’altezza della qualità della cucina, forse per la mancanza di personale. Ritornerò sperando di vedere un recupero anche nella qualità del servizio.
18/04/2025: Pastificio Statiola, a charming eatery just beyond the city centre, offers a delightful balance of quality, presentation, and value, aptly reflected in its name, which suggests weighing or balance. Apparently, the owner’s grandmother coined the name, capturing the essence of the restaurant’s philosophy. The menu features a full Italian experience, from primi to secondi, with handmade pasta and exceptionally fresh seafood that immediately caught my attention. The wine selection is quite impressive, highlighting excellent Calabrian options alongside select French bottles. The presence of numerous local patrons underscores its reputation within the community. While slightly removed from the tourist trail, Pastificio Statiola is a true gem for those seeking authentic, high-quality cuisine at a fair price.
