Beautiful place, superb food. Highly recommended!!!

Sangiovesa is located in the historic center of Santarcangelo di Romagna and is definitely worth a visit. Housed in a historic building (formerly the I Condomini theater), it boasts several welcoming and characteristic rooms, all of which evoke a bygone era. The rooms are furnished in a rustic yet elegant style, and you can visit a characteristic cave. The menu is traditional, with a good selection of dishes. The wine list is extensive. In my case, we dined on a couple of appetizers, two first courses, and two desserts. For starters, an excellent platter of typical cured meats from the Saiano estate and a delicious and authentic herb cassone. For the first course, a slow-cooked and truly delicious lasagna paired with strozzapreti with farmyard ragù, also excellent. For dessert, we tried the comforting apple pie, accompanied by vanilla ice cream, and a zuppa inglese, which in our opinion was a bit subdued. It wasn't bad, but it was a little bland. Overall the dinner was very good and the bill was in line, let's say (the structure certainly has a certain value).

We're returning after years, and what a wonderful atmosphere we felt upon arrival. The friendliness, the excellent food, and the impeccable service. Our dinner was in the "Cagnacci room," surrounded by beautiful paintings, seated at a lovely table with a comfortable period sofa. Special mention goes to the wide selection of pastas, cheeses, and vegetarian side dishes, including the "giardiniera," the house's pickled vegetables, delicious for those of us who, even though we're from Romagna, don't eat meat. We had a truly wonderful time, and we'll be back soon.

A place as magical as Sant'Arcangelo itself Top-notch food Unforgettable experience

A very nice and traditional atmosphere, albeit a bit dark. Unfortunately, the food quality isn't always up to par. The appetizers and first courses are good, but the main courses are absolutely lacking, as are the desserts. The place is large and very touristy, so I believe the work and organization are demanding, which is why expectations aren't always met. Finally, the prices are quite high.

It's worth a visit for the food, the setting, and the atmosphere... it's a feel-good experience that leaves you wanting to return, despite its simplicity... you feel at home, but in a beautiful home!

Il ristorante osteria La Sangiovesa è un locale che si trova nello splendido borgo di Santarcangelo di Romagna, in provincia di Rimini.La location veramente unica e spettacolare è ubicata in un palazzo del ‘700 Palazzo Nadiani.All’interno di ogni sala sono esposte le opere di Tonino Guerra e le riproduzioni della giunonica Sangiovesa disegnata da Fellini.Ogni saletta è particolare e unica in se, si cena in una atmosfera calda e accogliente con il sottofondo della tipica musica romagnola.I piatti sono genuini e gustosi, rigorosamente fatti a mano, che sanno regalare emozioni forti a tutti i palati.

Ristorante famosissimo, storico e molto frequentato nel cuore di Sant’Arcangelo. Una vera istituzione per i locali e non solo. Menù tipicamente della tradizione con un’ampia scelta anche di proposte fuori menù. Servizio gentile, rapido e disponibile. Piatti abbondanti e gustosi senza ricercatezza ma tanta artigianalità. Piadina calda servita ogni volta che finisce in tavola. Anche i dolci sono ottimi e molto interessante la carta vini dove la Romagna regna sovrana (per fortuna!). Possibilità di acquistare anche alcuni loro prodotti prima di lasciare il locale. Consigliato per chi ha la Romagna nel cuore e non vuole perdersi un’istituzione della gastronomia locale.

Locale fuori dal comune con grotte scavate nella roccia e salette in pietra, mattoni e legno. Abbiamo mangiato un tagliere di salumi con piadine calde, tagliatelle al ragù e pollastra alla cacciatora. Come dolce ciambella e crema pasticcera. Il cameriere brillante e simpatico. Da visitare.
