Amazing place, but a few downsides.
A location to be envied by anyone, absolutely worth 10 minutes to explore, before or after eating. The menu is very interesting, featuring local dishes, fresh homemade products, and everything can be paired with one of the many wines from their extensive cellar. Naturally, there's a constant refill of homemade piadinas, both classic and with olive oil.
The cheeses and giardiniera are very good, and the meatballs are well-made and juicy. The homemade fresh pasta with vegetable ragù and green lasagna are top-notch dishes. Among the main courses, the tripe reigns supreme. The chicken is also good, but I would have paired it with potatoes, perhaps cooked in a tagame with the sauce.
The homemade desserts are delicious, especially the cream cake accompanied by their gelato.
Overall, I liked everything, but in my opinion, the quality/price ratio is a bit high. I understand the Michelin Guide and the fact that it's received numerous awards, but in my opinion, the osteria should either maintain a good quantity of products on the plate or keep the prices slightly lower.
The downside is the service: the staff were friendly, but the wait was long: we found ourselves waiting for two and a half hours, 20 minutes for an extra main course, and then another 20 minutes to order dessert.

Family lunch with a selection of cold cuts, fried egg with pumpkin and olives and gnocchi with rabbit ragù, a nice glass of their Sangiovese, what can I say... well done everyone

Il ristorante osteria La Sangiovesa è un locale che si trova nello splendido borgo di Santarcangelo di Romagna, in provincia di Rimini.La location veramente unica e spettacolare è ubicata in un palazzo del ‘700 Palazzo Nadiani.All’interno di ogni sala sono esposte le opere di Tonino Guerra e le riproduzioni della giunonica Sangiovesa disegnata da Fellini.Ogni saletta è particolare e unica in se, si cena in una atmosfera calda e accogliente con il sottofondo della tipica musica romagnola.I piatti sono genuini e gustosi, rigorosamente fatti a mano, che sanno regalare emozioni forti a tutti i palati.
Splendido... Piacevole... Cucina ottima.
