A strangely quiet restaurant - plenty of people in for lunch, but everything seemed to be done sotto voce. I wasn't a huge fan of the pizza - the dough was too thick and bready for my taste, and the anchovies on my Napolitana were few and far between, leaving it rather tasteless (see if you can spot one on the photo lol 😂). Huge portions, but I'd prefer more flavour.

Truly delicious and quite large, this rustic Leccese pizza is delicious. The staff is quick, courteous, and friendly! Prices are in line with the area.

While staying in and touring Lecce, stopped here for street food lunch after being in the piazza Duomo, saw this place and went in. There are two sides - tavola calda and the sit down trattoria side. Wife and I got a selection of things - Rustico Leccese, half pizza and arancini, which we ate outside on the tables. Enjoyed the food, and the service inside was friendly and helpful. Definitely worth the time for a quicker lunch.

We were a little disappointed when we came to eat at La Rusticana. The pizzas are very thick, and the flavors aren't exceptional. It's still a decent restaurant; there weren't any major problems with the food, but it's a bit of a "nothing special" experience. The welcome wasn't very warm; we didn't feel at home. Otherwise, the prices are reasonable, the decor is quite nice, and we were served quickly.

Located in the heart of Lecce's historic center. Wide selection of dishes, appetizers, first courses, and second courses. The "frittillo" and the cured meats and cheese platter are excellent. Generous portions and more than fair prices. Recommended.

25/08/2025: A very charming and beautifully decorated location; attentive, professional, and unobtrusive staff; a fixed menu with a few twists compared to other competitors; kudos to Mrs. Irene, the heart of the Masseria. The price is in line with the offerings. Worth the trip.
25/08/2025: We stayed at this magical masseria three days ago for my birthday. The location is stunning, beautiful, surrounded by greenery, and meticulously cared for down to the smallest detail! The food was superb, simple but cooked to perfection. The owner, Irene, was incredibly kind and helpful, and even sweet enough to bring me a cake with a candle because she knew it was my birthday. We'll be back soon, perhaps during the day, so we can see the animals better. Thank you for everything!

28/10/2025: I really wanted some soup. They offered me vegetable soup. Of course, there were a lot of chickpeas and not enough broth, but it was delicious. That's the most important thing. However... The presentation was beautiful. A clay pot. BUT! They serve it boiling hot! When it arrived, it was bubbling and steaming. It doesn't cool down in the clay! We were really hungry and in a hurry, but it was impossible to cool! We even had to add a little water (ice cold; they brought it and poured it without even asking whether it was from the refrigerator or not). And for some reason they don't bring salt or pepper; you have to ask. Overall, my impressions were mixed. The good thing is that they were open at 3:00 PM, so we were still able to eat.
