Excellent restaurant and wonderful sea

A charming terrace overlooking the sea, the sunset aperitif is truly enchanting. Dinner is excellent, and the fried local fish is highly recommended.

One of the most enchanting restaurants in the area... it feels like dining on a boat. At La Ruggia, the sea is a welcome guest at your dinner. Excellent food (the first courses are delicious) and very generous portions. The fried seafood is also excellent. The service is very courteous and knowledgeable. The "off-the-menu" options are always welcome and appreciated.

I didn't try dinner, or the restaurant at all (I'll just give my opinion on the aperitif). The food wasn't good quality and the price was very high. Between the waiters and the dishes themselves, they push you to buy, and it's easy to fall for it, in my opinion, although it takes a little eye to understand. The view is beautiful, as in the photo. It's perfect for friends or a group to spend the evening or do something after the beach. Other than that, I don't recommend it. Overpriced and low quality.

The best of the best!! WONDERFUL location! The owner and staff are incredibly kind. Generous and delicious portions. My son had told me so many times, and he was right! The best in the area!!

La Ruggia is a fantastic spot for fish lovers – so good that we came back a second time during our stay in Varigotti. The mussels were outstanding, full of flavor, and the burrata-stuffed anchovies were just as impressive. The tuna tartar tagliolini was out of this world, and the devil fish was also excellent. On our second visit we had to order the mussels again, and also enjoyed the fried calamari with carrots and zucchini, which were light and delicious. For the main course we shared the catch of the day (dorado) for two, perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. The meal was rounded off beautifully with a tiramisu that was excellent. Both the beer selection and the white wine we had were also very good and paired perfectly with the dishes. The setting couldn’t be better – right on the beach, with the sound of the waves and a view of the sunset. Service was friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. Truly a memorable dining experience and highly recommended.

Bella Location sulla spiaggia alla fine di VARIGOTTI. Piatti buoni ma niente di eccezionale senza particolari pretese. Ma sicuramente consigliato Personale gentile e disponibile. Rapporto qualità prezzo buono. Ha tavoli anche all’aperto.

Pranzo sul mare, location strepitosa, piatti in menu con solo l’imbarazzo della scelta. Tutto ottimo, dal pane al caffè. Servizio un po’ lento, ma la qualità lo compensa. Ultra consigliato
