La Rotonda Cucina sul Mare In Ravenna

We came across this restaurant by chance, it was dinner time and we asked for a table for two. The waiter's first reaction was: there is no room. Then he corrected himself and asked if we had made a reservation, which we hadn't because we had just arrived. The room was almost empty, but the waiter took a few minutes to give us the table right next to us. The scene was repeated a few minutes later with two customers who were refused a table due to a series of alleged reservations. Please note: at the end of the evening, with the restaurant closed, the free tables remained free. Who benefited from it? This story of reservations, wherever you go, is still "the Covid effect". An excuse to work less, create difficulties and feel important. Closing the service, we ate an excellent risotto with prawns and then landed on a plate of mixed fried food (I'll go and see, the kitchen has just closed) of pharaonic dimensions (and cost). One portion would have been enough for three people (but no one told us that)! The final bill was in line with the restaurant's claims: expensive without merit.

The location is beautiful, and the food isn't bad either.

The service can clearly improve, too slow, often distracted and little organisation. We were with two small children and they gave us a table which was hit by the sun halfway through lunch. I had warned the little ones so they could organize themselves better. Good waiters with several years of experience. The food wasn't the best, it all seemed to be seasoned with the same lime and basil based sauce. The seafood risotto was good. The octopus skewer (1) was not filling and the octopus was rubbery. Good spaghetti with clams. I repeat, everything had the same seasoning, basil and lime that after the first and second starters you felt like you were eating the same thing. I didn't like the mixed fried food, although it was abundant, it wasn't crunchy and was soaked in oil. The place is very nice, they also have the beach in agreement. I think it can be improved.

We were with the family to celebrate my son's birthday on Sunday for lunch. We ate very well, fish always of excellent quality!!! Excellent service!!! Highly recommended

Trovato quasi per caso, questo locale sulla spiaggia si è rivelato un posto magnifico. Fronte mare abbiamo mangiato pesce pescato freschissimo, per non parlare del fritto di paranza. Praticamente perfetto. Porzioni molto abbondanti ma allo stesso tempo ricercatissime. La qualità-prezzo è incredibile. Consigliatissimo anche per la disponibilità e professionalità del personale.

Siamo sul mare… vista spettacolare Il personale, dalla cameriera, giovane e molto preparata, simpatica e sorridente, il cameriere gentile, disponibile ad ogni nostra esigenza… E che dire del cibo… ci hanno offerto un bicchiere scoppiettante, nel vero senso della parola…. Ogni cucchiaino che mettevi in bocca scoppiettava, oltre al gusto molto particolare, il piatto scelto da me era ottimo, con verdure e misticanza che non conoscevo… ottimo in tutto e per tutto…
