La Rocca In Capodimonte

We had lunch at this restaurant, reserving a table downtown. The place is small but very welcoming, as are the staff, who are also very professional! À la carte menu. We opted for two appetizers (fried eel bites and chicken liver meatballs) and two fish-based first courses (gnocchi with bottarga and lake ramen). Everything was delicious and truly delicious! Highly recommended, especially because they offer dishes that are different from the typical restaurants in the area!

Restaurant located near the Rocca where the host (the owner) explained and told us the story from which the fairy tale and the musical "Beauty and the Beast" was taken. The menu is not very full-bodied but the food is good and genuine.

Small but very welcoming restaurant. The food is top-quality, and you can tell they've put a lot of effort into selecting the best ingredients. The chef and owner are truly delightful, always available to offer suggestions on dishes and pairings. It's just steps from the fortress and in the center of the village. We loved it so much we went back the next evening!

A charming and well-kept restaurant with a view of Rocca Farnese, which is very picturesque in the evening, and stunning photos. The light cuisine is fine for certain dishes (e.g., fettuccine with Maremma ragu), but not for others. The "Degana Preti" (a type of pasta dish) lacked any seasoning and was flavorless. The veal, which was cooked with hazelnuts, was good, but the hazelnuts in the mayonnaise were barely noticeable.

La Rocca restaurant is welcoming and, despite its small size, offers a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. The quality of the food is truly excellent, with well-prepared dishes and friendly service. The quiet atmosphere certainly contributes to a very pleasant experience. Our favorite dish was the fettuccine with ragù, a must-try! A rich and flavorful dish, demonstrating the care taken in preparing the dishes. The real surprise, however, was the appetizer: the "non-Russian salad," described as steamed vegetables with vegetable mayonnaise. You'd expect something more innovative, but instead you get a real Russian salad served in the shape of a round tartlet, albeit a bit lighter and more refined than the traditional version. The flavor wasn't bad at all; in fact, it was interesting, but I wouldn't recommend it. Overall, it was a very positive experience. It would be helpful to expand the dish descriptions on the menu to provide a clearer overview and better reflect the chef's intent, but this doesn't detract from the overall quality.

While passing through Capodimonte, we tried this little restaurant, which we thoroughly enjoyed (and they were very kind enough to let us in despite the late hour). I recommend the whitefish, and judging by another table, the desserts were very good, though we didn't try them to avoid weighing ourselves down during our tour. The portions are generous, and I highly recommend it.

Excellent restaurant in this charming village, well worth a visit. The cuisine is a delightful discovery, very subtle, offering a welcome change from the usual trattoria and osteria fare. The service was attentive and discreet.

Ci siamo capitati passeggiando per il lago e l’esperienza è stata ottima: ostriche fritte, gnocchetti con gazpacho di pesca, spaghetti di seppia e amatriciana di lago, torta di farro e mele tutto veramente squisito, sapori nuovi e ben serviti. Lo súper consiglio. Rapporto qualità prezzo sorprendente e sono anche simpatici!

Excellent restaurant, good food, but I think it's too avant-garde and innovative for the place. I liked some innovations, others were too risky, but still a good restaurant.
