La Puppola - Ristorante Toscano In Varenna

Excellent Tuscan restaurant with a true focus on Tuscan cuisine. Funny finding it in a Lombard mountain town, but...it's absolutely worth it!! Bright atmosphere and tasteful decor, attention to detail, and child-friendly. Average prices.

I've been there several times. Everything is always excellent, a given. Recommended for the ribs and Florentine steaks in particular, but everything is good.

A trip with friends, a fantastic place, a restaurant, Tuscan cuisine, and the hostess, top-quality appetizers, delicacies for the palate, and some typical dishes accompanied our lunch, to finish with homemade desserts. Coming back here will certainly be a pleasure, especially because next time we'll definitely try the Florentine steak, which we saw pass by several times between the tables, leaving a lovely aroma that... already promised something good. The impeccable service, friendly waiters, and professionalism of the manager are a top guarantee.

Excellent dishes, generous portions, high quality. Quick, courteous, and competent service. Intimate and well-kept location. Good price, we paid €30 each for a shared appetizer, first course, and dessert (no wine). Totally satisfied.

Fantastic experience. Awesome staff and delicious meat. We went with recommendations of the waiter and oh boy, wine, meat, desert and liquor were spot on! Definitely check it out for yourself but greatly appreciated our stay :)

Everything was good, everything was perfect. But... The prices were moderately high, and portions could easily have been much more generous in some cases.

Even though I'm not a meat lover, their meat is really good, not to mention fresh cheeses and jams.

The quality of this place is impressive. Not only are the wines wonderful and the food top-notch (from appetizers to dessert, any course you choose is simply SUBLIME), but the service is too! It's not at all a given that the staff in the dining room are professional, highly trained, smiling, helpful, extremely friendly, and personable... I don't know, I'd put a sleeping bag in here and live there! The place isn't just BEAUTIFUL, but more! Enchanting... I recommend trying the ribollita, which has remained in my heart... the chef was so kind at Christmas to prepare a portion just for me since I hadn't had a chance to try it... but here, however you choose, you choose in spades!
