La Porta accanto In Napoli

I read many restaurant/trattoria reviews for Naples and this place came out with a good score 👍 other diners were there purely from the recommendations. It's a small authentic dining pleasure set on a busy pedestrian street, however it felt cosy and welcoming when stepping inside. No more than 5 tables inside and a few on the pavement.The 3 staff were so friendly and kind. The menu with pictures and written in English was with a bar code on your phone. Couldn't fault our starters or the pasta main courses, although no room for dessert the meloncello was excellent.

One of the best pasta we ate so far on Italia. Spaghetti Alla Nerano and Candele Spezzate Al Ragu Napoletano were fantastico! Special thanks to the Stuff, that was super kind and made this visit amazing from the moment they welcome us in door. Really recommending this restaurant.

Fortunately Trattoria da Nennella was too overcrowded so I had to get my pasta here. Francesca was very kind gave me two good recommendations. And I loved both. Can only recommend this restaurant and the pasta genovese and pasta e patate.

We stumbled upon Via Toledo by chance and “La Porta Next” immediately attracted our attention. Intimate venue serving typical Neapolitan cuisine that allows you to escape from the chaos of the city with its truly pleasant selection of music. The service was also pleasant, the girls in the room attentive to the smallest details, helpful and very courteous. Excellent Neapolitan cuisine, from fried appetizers (anchovies stuffed with provola and stuffed courgette flowers) to the first courses (their homemade seafood linguine, made with fresh pasta, sublime) and finishing with the second courses (km 0 sea bass caught in the morning). We chose a local Falanghina (Simone Giacomo Castelvenere farm) which accompanied our dinner, soft sip and floral notes. To conclude, unusual amaro and Capri salt bitters. For ravioli, eyes closed, great! Cod very well cooked. In short, a good chef.

We went one evening and the place was full; We tried again today for lunch and it was worth it! The dishes were very good, homemade desserts and a delightful welcome, see you next time ❤

The Italian fry starter was good, a bit expensive even for 2 people. Seafood pasta was okay, the squid was not cooked right, the clams were good, the shrimp were not cooked through (couldn't peel them). My partner's portion was very oily, but the friend who also ordered seafood pasta had barely any oil on his plate. Pasta and potatoes were okay, only tasted of cheese but good otherwise. Good white house wine. €15 for the starter (for 2 people), €9 for pasta with potatoes, €20 for seafood pasta. €5 for a glass of white, €5.5 for 40 cl Stella artois. The waitress spoke good English, was very nice and efficient. Minus for menu via qr code. Plus for card payment. They have free toilets. Totally okay in summary. I would not recommend, the food was not worth the prices.
