Quite easily the best Porchetta we have ever had. Crispy skin, juicy meat and fresh bread. We passed by chance, I spotted it with the corner of my eye and turned the car around to take a better look…it was amazing! So good, that I ended up taking another portion of only Porchetta for dessert.
Definitely worth stopping by!

A dusty, noisy, and exhaust-stained parking lot on the outskirts of L'Aquila: Especially in the blazing summer sun, it's hard to imagine a more uncomfortable place to have lunch. However, "La Porchetta Di Gianni" is still highly recommended.
The team at the red and white food truck is on the ball, fast, efficient, and, above all, very friendly.
They serve rustic classics like pork with crackling (porchetta), grilled chicken (pollo arrosto), and lasagna. Freshly prepared. The quality of the food is excellent, as is the value for money.
Small, dingy plastic tables and chairs are lined up around the food truck for you to make yourself comfortable.
The sometimes long lines are a testament to its popularity. The attendant calls the available restroom stalls "better than nothing."

Good porchetta. It's street food, after all, so there are all the inconveniences, like cars parked right up to the van. Luckily, there are call-out numbers, otherwise there would be fights and brawls to get served first, and the flies were always present.
But all of this isn't down to Gianni and his excellent staff, but to us, the hungry, heat-inflamed, and even slightly rude customers.
