Top pizza, for me the best in Sarzana, La Spezia, and Lunigiana. It's one of the few that's both thick and crispy. The farinata is also excellent; I must try the herb pies.
The staff is incredibly friendly, family-run, and always smiling. Takeout is available, but there's an area with tables inside. I'll stop by whenever I can. Highly recommended.

2012 WORLD CHAMPION LOCATION
👉 Pizzeria da Natale, open since 1992, is located in Tuscany, at Piazza Giuseppe Mazzini, 13, in the municipality of Aulla, in the province of Massa Carrara.
👉 It's a very well-known pizza by the slice, having been recommended to me by some Emilian friends visiting my hometown of Pisa.
🏆 In 2012, Pizzeria Natale was the World Champion in "pizza in teglia" at the world finals held in Salsomaggiore Terme.
👉 The pizza he created and led to victory was called "Mondiale" and was topped with parmesan, cherry tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, and basil. According to the owners, it remains one of the most popular to this day.
👉 Therefore, I personally went to the municipality of Aulla to verify what I was told.
👉 The restaurant isn't large, but it's well-organized, both in the reception area and the work and food preparation area, with a small dining room with tables.
👉 There are no tables outside.
👉 The aroma is a sign of deliciousness as soon as you enter.
👉 The pizza is thick and soft, crispy on the sides, and the toppings aren't overdone. You can clearly taste the freshness of the ingredients used, as it's even good reheated in your home oven.
👉 Everything is made fresh, partly in full view and placed on the counter.
👉 The cecina, as we Tuscans call it (or farinata, as they say in Liguria), is truly delicious: thin, crispy, and thin.
👉 As you can see from the menu, the selection is wide and you can also eat in.
👉 I recommend everyone in Aulla, and even the surrounding areas, to come and try this pizza.
👉 The pizzeria also has a very well-designed and interesting website.
👉 The prices are in line with the average, and the pizzas are large enough for two people.
