I was staying close by and luckily as there weren’t many options in the area on foot. I was grateful they were open when I arrived. Authentic experience Enzo served and cooked my dinner and was a great host. the food and house white were delicious and very reasonably priced! Grazie Millie Enzo.

I highly recommend this restaurant with its panoramic view. Excellent cuisine, I recommend the Ischia-style rabbit.

If you want to eat well and not nitpick, this is the right place.

Truly a superb address, completely atypical. We were welcomed by the owner and chef who asked us what we wanted to eat because there is no menu here. Then he served us dishes without fuss but with an incredible taste of fresh products, Neapolitan specialties, grilled fish to die for, typical tomato tartines, pasta alla vongole etc etc, faultless!!! Very local and cozy dining experience, if you want to dine like a local this is the place. For tourists who do not speak Italian (like me), here is what I know about this place: - opens around 8pm; locals kept on arriving until 9.30-10pm - if the lights are on and music is playing, the place is open - this is a one man shop - the owner Enzo cooks and serves and takes orders - there isn’t a fixed menu - I was asked whether I want fried or grilled fish, meat, shellfish, pasta, etc - if you want quick food this is not the place for you; for context I arrived at 8.30pm, ordered at 8.40, got my pasta dish at 9.30, fish at 9.45 and salad at 10pm - bruschetta was delicious; I also had aglio olio (2 dishes), one grilled fish and a salad - total came to €68 and they take card payments

I had an amazing dinner at La Pagliarella on Ischia island! The bruschetta was the best I’ve ever tasted, the seafood and fish were super fresh and full of flavor. Before telling my experience at this place, a preliminary consideration must be made: the owner is also the chef and from what I understand he is the only one who works in the kitchen. Having said that, I can say that I went to dinner there twice in three days, I had a great time: for the freshness of the fish and in general for the cuisine. My suggestion is to book not only the place (there are not many places to sit) but also to anticipate the dishes requested, in particular if you want to eat the rabbit all'ischitana, for the cooking times, I recommend you book it. This way you do not have to wait for the entire cooking time and you can enjoy a really good dish, I found it truly exquisite! As for the fish, it is very fresh and even in this case if you want grilled fish, the advice is to book it in advance, the chef does the shopping in the morning and will get you something excellent for a roast. The second evening I requested the roasted fish and it was excellent and very fresh! Of course, despite the reservation of the dishes, if there are a few people in the restaurant, the waiting times will be a bit longer, but it's really worth it. Don't expect the wine list, but in such a "genuine" restaurant, you don't miss it. I would say that the price is definitely good for the quality and abundance of the food!
