I discovered this place thanks to the company dinner held at Christmas and I promised myself I would return with my better half..... As soon as, while chatting, I said that there was the intention of booking instead of a *2 we became an *8!!
The expectations were high and they were achieved with flying colors!! I was in Sardinia on holiday and I remember well the flavors that I tasted again yesterday!!
We, the noisy company, really enjoyed ourselves and were really at ease!

There are places that warm the heart, which often convey to us the history, tradition and culture of a region through their dishes.
One of these is the Nicchia, a small piece of Sardinia, in via Gemona. I entered there many years ago, almost by chance, the restaurant was perhaps a year old before its renovation, and I was already enchanted by it then.
Far from being one of the various Anton Egos on duty (the food critic of Ratatuille), I can only testify to the passion, the research and the love that Massimo tells us through his dishes, the raw materials of absolute quality, the refined products (some also available for sale), for me always a pleasant dive into Sardinian land with every tasting. If we add to this the impeccable organization and friendliness of Silvia, the advice I can undoubtedly give you is to try this pleasant experience.

Visité este encantador restaurante con mi novia para la cena, habiendo hecho una reserva con antelación.
PROS
El ambiente es encantador, acogedor y romántico. A pesar del pequeño tamaño del recinto, hay una agradable sensación de privacidad. El personal es encantador, amable, sencillo y eficiente. La ubicación es excelente: céntrico pero escondido. Los precios son absolutamente justos, asequibles teniendo en cuenta la cantidad de alimentos, aunque ligeramente altos para el nivel de preparación.
CONS
Los platos carecen de personalidad y sabor. Las técnicas de cocción son básicas y no particularmente refinadas. Los platos de pasta, que fueron los mejores entre los que probamos, fueron decentemente ejecutados pero nada excepcional. El cochinillo, a pesar de tener una corteza agradablemente crujiente como era de esperar, era algo soso y ligeramente demasiado seco.
LIMITACIONES DE ESTA REVISIÓN
La evaluación se basa en una selección limitada de platos. Sin embargo, al leer el menú, no parece ofrecer opciones significativamente más refinadas.
CONCLUSIONES
Cuatro estrellas únicamente para el ambiente y el servicio. La comida, sin embargo, tiene mucho margen de mejora.

Run by real Sardinians, exceptional people! The service, the cuisine and the location... Unique in Udine. Worth trying, except that you have to book well in advance, the place has few tables and that's a good thing. Highly recommended!

Kurz entschlossen zum kleinen Dinner: vorneweg 2 verschiedene Vorspeisenplatten bestellt, die sind tapas-artig bestückt, danach Gnocchi mit vegetarischer Soße, Tagliatelle mit Steinpilzen, Trippa fiorentina: alles sehr fein, zu dritt incl. Flasche Prosecco 100€. Sehr nettes lokal im sehr schönen Udine, zentral gelegen. Jugendlicher, freundlicher Service.
