Years pass and fortunately La Nave remains the same: traditional dishes with some innovation, excellent and plentiful, a sufficiently wide selection of wines, of good quality and at very honest prices, efficient, smiling and courteous service and waiters. What do you want more?

A fairly well-known location among the beach establishments with restaurants on the Fregene seafront. Large and bright rooms, large windows overlooking the sea, that day very aggressive with the beach. The furnishings are sober and informal, if we do not take into account the entrance, characterized by two large chimneys similar to those of a ship. The list of fish dishes on the menu is extensive. The list of white wines is equally extensive, with a not excessive mark-up. High quality bottles present. Among the appetizers that the diners chose, the tuna panzanella was tasty; the souté of mussels (orange and fat) and clams, with a tasty know-it-all broth, is perfect; the toasted bread with olive oil was appreciated. I was forgetting the bruschetta with clams, actually forgettable and with the unhealthy impression of having come out of a... jar. They turned out to be traitors to the quality of the dishes offered. Among the first courses, excellent spaghetti with clams, medium in size; excellent spaghetti with razor clams - super fresh and tender - and bottarga: an off-menu proposal that proved to be a winner. Never underestimate the chef's advice. Even the Messina-style sea bream with its sauce didn't disfigure it at all, including the caper flowers. Fried calamari and prawns good, without any particular distinctiveness. With our bellies comforted by Sauvignon and noteworthy portions, we avoided dessert. Positive experience, which in the end, in its quality/quantity/price ratio, produced a bill without major surprises.

Stabilimento balneare molto datato nella zona più brutta di Fregene. Il ristorante è buono e fa un polpo speciale. Il servizio è vecchio stile, cerimonioso e accogliente. La vista è bella anche se lo stabilimento, lo ripeto, è nella parte più triste e meno splendente di Fregene. C’è una bella terrazza du cui prendere l’aperitivo al tramonto. Prezzi alti.
