Great food and excellent service

I had dinner in this very well-known place, it has changed a lot both in the environments and in the way of cooking which is much more modern and refined. I liked some dishes and some less but I must say that I will definitely go back because I was still impressed. Highly recommended.

The new management has preserved the excellent quality of the dishes, adding a softer atmosphere and a gourmet touch. Congratulations to the new manager Carmine and to our always dear Daniele waitress.

We stumbled upon it almost by chance after a visit to the Sanctuary ... I was amazed .... Respectable location .... Very modern and well done .... Good and honest food .... Wine list region by region as high level places... this is it.... It's a different place and there isn't any in the area... Very modern but well done.... Excellent food.... fast and fair service. ... And then the cuisine turns into art..... This is the case of La Montanara, a new and refined restaurant that offers very high cuisine, bringing together renewal and tradition in splendid harmony. From a mystical experience the "Tubettone di Gragnano with Scapece-style courgette cream......" and I'll leave the rest to you to discover. Not to mention the "Pork cheek with coconut milk, espresso coffee, its powder on orange marmalade"....I would say that 5 stars are too few. In short, immersing yourself in the woods of Mount Gelbison and experiencing the ecstasy of La Montanara is an unforgettable experience... to be repeated...

After the renovation the place has completely changed. When you are inside the environment is very refined and you might think you are in any city in the world but certainly not in Novi Velia. the staff is very kind and professional the quality food. If I really had to make an observation I would say that in a mountain landscape context there are too many tropical plants inside the room to the detriment of the native plants.

Very nice environment, totally renovated, definitely a step forward compared to all the other places in the area. Last year the first visit left me very satisfied also in terms of cuisine, but this year something must have changed. Cuisine and service are absolutely not up to what the place would like to be. I think the former owner who is now in the room as an employee is rude in his manners and doesn't even bother to bring you the wine list - I saw very good labels in the cellar - but he makes you drink what he wants from the house, I didn't understand. Why. Or he shouts in an inelegant way at the girls in the room. Interesting and varied menu but what we ate certainly looked like leftovers from the mid-August holiday 3 days earlier. Sour tomato sauce, industrial gnocchi, roast that wasn't a roast but steaks with a sauce made with flavoring powders, nothing good in short, nothing to do with the first time and with quality cuisine, I'm sorry. It's a shame because it could really be a place that makes a difference.
