We returned to Mandragola sure of repeating a positive experience that we had already experienced a few months ago, and so it was. Competent and kind staff, refined and abundant dishes, magical atmosphere in the heart of the historic center of Genoa. I would say perfect place.

Wonderful place in a very quiet and characteristic square in Genoa. Excellent food, both typical Genoese and Indian. Stuffed anchovies like grandma's ♡

If you want an authentic experience of Italian food, come here. The food so fresh, sourced from the local markets and complemented by an incredible chef. I have continually searched for authentic food while in Italy that are away from tourists spots, and I found it here. If you are unsure of walking the distance to get here, just do it - you will be talking about the quality of the food on your walk back and look forward to visiting Genoa again. We came from Levanto by train to visit Forte Diamante, ate here and returned back to our accommodation. I am thrilled with the excellent day.

Occupying a tiny quite square between several old buildings in the Old City, La Mandragola gives a feeling of being taken back to Mediaeval Genova. Quite and relaxing atmosphere. Extremely welcoming staff, went an extra mile to prepare the fish the way I requested. Came out really tasty! They speak fluent English and Russian too.

Although we love focaccia and pasta, we were in dire need of vegetables and luckily we found this at this restaurant. The rice with eggplant sauce was delicious, the salad of the house was also very tasty!

Very nice restaurant located in the heart of Genoa. Service great. Nice, friendly and accommodating. Food was great had a starter and pasta. We recommend the pansoti in salsa di noce. Good price-performance ratio.
