Their cuisine is a true celebration of traditional flavors, with entirely homemade dishes, generously portioned and meticulously prepared. The appetizer is a triumph of flavors and textures, but their caponata is a sensory experience in itself: the best we've ever tasted, reason enough to return. Every course is a masterpiece of simplicity and flavor: from the meatballs with their incredibly sweet sauce, perfect for mopping up the bread with their homemade bread, to a casserole dish of fresh pasta rich in sauce and salted ricotta. And to finish on a high note, don't miss the fritters and delicious homemade limoncello. An unforgettable experience ! On our road trip around Sicily, we stopped in the small town of Favara. Looking for a place to eat, we came across this gem on the internet. After reading about it, we knew we couldn’t miss the chance to enjoy authentic homemade Sicilian food in a true family setting. Booking via WhatsApp was quick and easy. From the moment we arrived at Stefano’s family home, we knew we were in for something special. We were warmly welcomed by his wife and daughter, who guided us to our table. Then Stefano himself came to introduce himself, and the journey began. Plate after plate, we were blown away by the flavors, the generosity, and the authenticity of the dishes. What made it even more unique was Stefano’s passion he took the time to present each dish. I even tried foods I normally don’t enjoy, and was pleasantly surprised to discover them in a completely new light. There was so much food we couldn’t even finish the second main dish, but thankfully Stefano kindly asked before serving it, so nothing went to waste. And don’t forget to bring cash to pay for the dinner since it’s a home restaurant you won’t be able to pay by card. We paid 50€ for two people, and trust me, it was absolutely worth it. From start to finish, it was a truly memorable experience. Even after the meal, Stefano gifted us one of his homemade breads and kindly guided us back outside, a gesture that perfectly reflects the warmth of Sicilian hospitality. I stumbled upon it by chance, without a reservation. Even though we were only two guests that evening, we received warm hospitality, authentic food, and generous portions. Thank you!

In a unique atmosphere, we were welcomed by Stefano and his family, in a peaceful and familiar setting. After seating us in their inn, we were served appetizers consisting of various local cured meats and cheeses. Artisanal caponata and homemade bread and focaccia were also served. The focaccia, served still warm, was spectacular. Next, we sampled pickled artichokes and eggplant, lard, and the tender and flavorful meatballs. We can't help but mention the meatball sauce, also homemade, with its exceptional flavor. The freshness of the ingredients and the passion with which they are prepared can be tasted from the first bite. After a short break, we were served fresh cavatelli, handmade by them, with a very fresh alla norma sauce, fried eggplant, and salted ricotta. They had the unmistakable flavor of home. The portions were generous, and, reluctantly, we decided to skip the main course to make room for dessert. The latter was a deconstructed cannoli, with the crunchy shell broken into pieces and the fresh ricotta. With the dessert, we were also served their homemade herb liqueur, with a fresh and intense flavor, perfect with the cannoli. We finished with two coffees and a chat with Stefano and his family. It's the best place we've tried in Sicily to savor local dishes, in true home-style.

We had lunch here during a business trip and we had a really good time. This place is a little gem that if you are near Agrigento becomes a must-see. The place is very intimate and traditional. If you are looking for something truly typical, cooked only with local products and recipes and with absolutely affordable prices, Locanda PalmaUliva is definitely a place to stop. In addition, Stefano and his wife, who manage the place completely independently, are two fantastic owners, helpful and welcoming!
