Recommended by a very kind Taranto resident, we found a surprising place. It feels like walking into a butcher's shop, but it's actually a restaurant. Before you sit down, they let you choose the excellent quality meat. Fast and friendly service. Excellent value. If we return to Taranto, it will be a must-visit.

Best meat I've ever eaten, not just in Puglia but in general... I almost dream about it at night. These Bombette are truly exceptional!

Spacious restaurant with a large staff. Excellent food. Among all the dishes, the Angus steak and the chicken livers are unmissable. The Bombetta was average. Excellent wine. Overall, recommended.

Elegant place, fast service, and good food. Prices are moderate but not cheap. We especially enjoyed the various types of bombette, stuffed sausages, and Angus strips (the ones we ate in Lecce, also at the "Locanda del Macellaio," were better). We'll be back for the tagliata.

Reservations are recommended, especially if you're a large group. It's difficult to choose due to the vast selection. There were eight of us. We had bombette alla martinese, with Philadelphia, spicy, and with sun-dried tomatoes and scamorza; tagliata with arugula and parmesan; carpaccio with arugula and parmesan; plain sausage, straccettti and uccelletti; then French fries and mashed potatoes. I tried all the dishes; I found the straccietti, the tagliata, the bombette with Philadelphia, and the mashed potatoes to be delicious. I highly recommend them. The Primitivo wine was excellent. Two small tips: if you put the bombette on a single plate, even for multiple diners, it's hard to tell which one you chose. For the tagliata, whether it was rare or medium was the same. Kudos to the spotless restrooms; even though they should always be this way, it's not a given. I'd definitely go back. I forgot about the delicious taralli.

If I want to eat good meat when I come on holiday here in my city, this place is my choice and I also bring people who come from out of town as happened this Sunday. Wide choice of bombette and sausage as well as side dishes with a little surprise at the end of the sweet Taralli with red wine (I think) offered by the place.

I'm a Neapolitan tourist who loves eating well and sampling local delicacies because, let's face it, in Italy, if you choose the right places, you eat well! This time, I found the food excellent at more than fair prices. The bombette are delicious!!! Very kind staff and fast service. I highly recommend it.
