La Lavinella In Rezzo

The Forever snails alone are worth the trip. Amazing, classic Ligurian style. Delicious.

I stumbled upon this place by chance during a family outing. A simple but welcoming family-run restaurant. Typical, unpretentious dishes: here, it's the substance that counts, not the appearance. We had lunch as if we were at a friend's house.

Truly a place like it used to be, with lots of great food. A menu with 7 appetizers, 2 first courses, 3 second courses, and 2 desserts, plus a liter of wine...€35 per person...I'll be back.

We ate very well! There were four of us, and we all had a starter, main course, and dessert, and we spent a fair amount. The dishes were simple but tasty and flavorful, and the staff was very friendly.

Family atmosphere, good food, efficient service. An experience to repeat!

Four of us had lunch yesterday, September 14, 2025. The set menu included about 7-8 excellent appetizers, as well as the two first courses and three second courses. The snails were truly remarkable, along with the ritrita gelato and tiramisu. Everything was carefully prepared and authentic. The service was efficient and friendly. The wine, undiluted, was more than reasonable, as was the bill. €35 all-inclusive. In fact, at least on Sunday lunch, if you don't book, you can't get in. Luckily, we were on the terrace. It's a shame the room is really noisy. I would recommend soundproofing. Anyway, congratulations. A question about the cheese inside the puff pastry fritters.

Everything very good, friendly staff

To make amends, I wasn't very familiar with Lavina, a hamlet in Rezzo, even though I'm from Imperia. It's a beautiful village crossed by the Arroscia stream. The restaurant itself represents the local area 100%, with typical Ligurian dishes (e.g., rabbit and snails). The food is excellent, and the service is good. The restaurant itself isn't particularly vibrant; it could be better. However, the quality/price ratio is top-notch.

The staff is quite friendly, very discreet, and the owner is very helpful. I bought her book, which is definitely expensive for a notebook, but she never refuses to help someone who writes about themselves. The food is good, like eating at home, simple and quite refined. The snails, which were supposed to be the star dish, aren't special, but in my opinion they're neutral; they should be tastier, more personalized in their flavor. Certainly, given the context—a beautiful day that I'll repeat—these are places that shouldn't disappear, and perhaps opening in the evening wouldn't be a bad idea at all.

Having lunch at La Lavinella is a must for us when we're in Deglio, Liguria. We don't mind the journey. I don't want to reveal any more about this insider tip. Keep up the good work and stay loyal.
