Excellent place, good quality food and excellently prepared, the roasted cod (excellent) in my opinion needed a better side, a cherry tomato and a celery stick, or a roasted pepper or something else would have been nice, the wine selection is excellent and for the price, considering the period and the current cost of raw materials, the price is not excessive, I will return to try other dishes.

An excellent restaurant for a journey, with cuisine that pays attention to the finest ingredients, featuring cod-based dishes ranging from appetizers to first courses, from cod parmigiana to potato and cod tart, all expertly prepared by the chef-owner and his staff. Be sure to end the evening with a list of the artisanal desserts.... A special mention goes to the jar of noble ricotta, cream, sponge cake, and Vesuvius apricot compote, "le pellecchielle."

The delicate preparation of the cod, along with the expert presentation and service, make this restaurant, in my opinion, a prime example of a place where you can enjoy fine dining accompanied by courteous and reliable service. Thanks to the Chef for delighting us.

We went to this restaurant to try traditional cod dishes. We weren't familiar with it, so we just went by intuition based on the reviews. We were very pleased with the food, which was truly refined and satisfying. The cod genovese and the fried fish were excellent. The service was also excellent, and the price was very fair. The only downside is those damned windows, which, even when closed, let in a cold draft, which isn't very pleasant in the winter. That's the only thing that needs updating; everything else is excellent.

I didn't like the food, the cod, a product they advertised, and the reason we went there for dinner, was flavorless and full of water, every dish we chose didn't have an exciting taste and the product was not of quality, the staff, not very attentive to the needs of customers and even presumptuous. We asked for a basket with ice for the wine, they replied saying that it was obvious that they would bring it, but some time passed and we had to ask for it. The room was poorly heated, and therefore not very welcoming.

Everything was very good, good service and delicious dishes.

We were there to learn more about the hometown of my wife's great-grandparents, who emigrated to Brazil, and we decided to visit the restaurant after seeing the excellent reviews of their cod specialties. Upon entering, we were immediately charmed by the cozy and characterful decor. Even before the food arrived, we were surprised by the kindness and attention of Luigi, the restaurant owner, who greeted us with unparalleled service—a pleasant, welcoming conversation and perfect recommendations about the day's dishes. We were very well served. The cod was simply divine—both the alla genovese and the fried cod. The freshness of the products, the quality of the ingredients, and the care in every detail of the preparation were evident with every bite. An unforgettable experience, marked by the authenticity of Sommese cuisine and a hospitality that made us feel at home. Without a doubt, a place we wholeheartedly recommend and to which we will certainly return soon!

A truly delicious lunch! La Lanterna succeeds perfectly in the difficult challenge of toning down the strong flavors of cod and stockfish, offering flavorful, well-balanced dishes with a keen eye for seasonal ingredients. Also noteworthy are the high-quality mixed fried fish and the generous plate of Campanian cheeses. An excellent choice for those seeking hearty dishes with fresh ingredients. I recommend it even to those who aren't cod lovers (like me). I'll definitely be back again!
