Last night we celebrated my husband's 70th birthday with friends. Tiziano and Alfonso prepared an excellent, refined and tasty dinner for us, the table was set with great elegance. We had an aperitif outdoors, in front of a spectacular sunset over S.Gimignano. Both we and our friends were very satisfied. Advised

Platter of good cold cuts, shame about the Florentine steak, ordered rare, and served on a hot plate which made it cooked like a normal steak... the staff were polite and kind...

We had an amazing dinner at this restaurant. The Bistecca Fiorentina was absolutely delicious and the staff is super friendly (big thumbs up to Tiziano)

Das Schönste war definitiv der Ausblick. Der Rest.. Nun ja. Das Brot etwas trocken, die Gerichte okay, aber auch nicht mehr. Es fehlte Aroma und Raffinesse, vor allem unter dem Aspekt, wie sich das Restaurant im Netz präsentiert. Und der Service leider völlig ohne Herzblut. Wir fühlten uns nicht wirklich wohl und die salzige Rechnung gab und dann den Rest. Wir verstehen die guten Bewertungen nicht wirklich, für uns war es keine gute Erfahrung.

Ate twice at this special restaurant. The food is amazing and the view breathtakingly beautiful. You pay a little more than normal, but it is well worth it. Caroline

Jolie vue sur San Gimignano mais la cuisine ne vaut pas le détour (gros détour car à 20min de San Gimignano). Le rapport qualité prix n’y est vraiment pas, mais le service est quand même agréable. Une adresse sympa mais sans plus.

Dopolavoro La Foce

20/08/2024: excellent choice of wines, competent and sometimes entertaining service, menu based on typical local products. Average prices, location that derives from an old farmhouse that was an agricultural after-work place (just before the La Foce area). At the back there is a spectacular garden with an oven for cooking pizzas in sight which can count on many seats... great added value!
18/08/2024: At first glance it seemed very chic, but it satisfies all tastes and wallets, we ate well in a nice environment, I recommend it
