La Grotta In Radicofani

We'd been to this restaurant before and had fond memories of it. We returned specifically for this, but we didn't find the same quality of food. The ribollita with black cabbage was good, but it was really too flavorful, or rather salty. The pici with Chianina beef and red wine were decent, but nothing special, even though the portions were decidedly generous. Considering we came here specifically for this place, we wouldn't return.

It's confirmed as a potentially great place. The food is good. The prices are fair. But the service is terrible!!! The blonde woman exudes dislike and a hunger for money. She stuffs the place with more than her maximum serving size. She squeezes people into the dining room like sardines, then forces everyone to order the same or nearly the same items, then brings them to you on shared trays that are difficult to verify. The bill arrives without any details, just the number of starters or main courses (everything has its price), which is indecipherable. And if you pay in cash, round up, otherwise she says they have a lot of commissions and nothing... but who asked for anything? In our case, it would have been better not to say anything about the bill, since no discount was requested, and above all, fewer people in the crowded dining room would have made a better impression. Terrible experience.

We probably made a mistake in choosing the Florentine steak because it is an insult to lovers of Tuscan steak, but for the first and second courses I feel like saying that the others were satisfied. I advise the innkeepers to remove the Florentine steak and spaghetti Bolognese from the menu, you will lose credibility.

Very generous dishes, I enjoyed a vegetable soup and garlic pici! Very friendly staff. Reasonable prices in this very touristy village. I particularly recommend it to pilgrims on the Via Francigena!

Tuscany, off the beaten track. Genuine, certified products. Superb, generous dishes. Quality and good prices. Superb!

My partner and I went to the restaurant for dinner, honestly there were not many options in the small town. We had roasted pork with potatos and mushroom pasta. The roasted pork was crispy and okay, but bit salty. And mushroom pasta was not recommendable, taste of mushroom itself was fine, but its harmony with the pasta, the taste of the whole dish, and the feeling of slipperiness in the mouth was quite unfamiliar. And I ordered a glass of house wine, but couldnt finish it. I was able to understand why some of the reviews were not amicable and bad.

I imagined even more of a cave theme and movie set type stuff, but it was just a nice Italian restaurant with nice people

Il cibo è buono peccato che ci hanno fatto mangiare in poco più di mezz'ora( neanche al mcdonald's), mentre stavamo mangiando l'antipasto ci hanno portato la carne e la zuppa di funghi....quando ho fatto notare la cosa ( la cameriera non si è minimamente posta il problema) ci è stato risposto che potevano portare le pietanze al caldo...mah!! Spero sia stato solo un malinteso con la cucina. Qualita/quantita/prezzo buona

Ambiente accogliente, servizio cordiale, piatti della tradizione ben eseguiti e serviti in porzioni a dir poco abbondanti. Vino gradevole e prezzi onesti. Consigliatissimo.
