La Grotta In Chiavari

We ate at La Grotta. Very friendly and fast service. We each ordered a salad and drinks. Plus a pizza for two, as we had never managed a whole pizza in Chiavara. The shared pizza here was very, very small. The bill was paid by card. When asked, Coperto cost €3/person instead of €2, like in the other restaurants. The invoice also did not list each individual item, as usual, but only the total amount. When we did the math, we found a small difference to our disadvantage. When asked about this, the owner yelled at me and gave me one amount, not the whole amount. I would have liked to leave the amount as a tip if the bill had been detailed. It wasn't much. But it doesn't work that way.

Everything was great. Very friendly staff, great pizza, the location is also nice.

Heerlijk eten en hele vriendelijke bediening! Ze nemen echt de tijd voor je. Koken alles vers. Je krijgt bij de start gratis een glas bubbels en lekkere focaccia. Hier eten is een feestje!

Delicious food in this restaurant! Upon arrival, something tasty was offered. Both the starter and main course were very good. It just happened in quick succession, which I thought was a shame. But when I asked for it, the dessert could wait a while. Afterwards we had a nice chat with the owner and her friend. Promised I would come back again next summer. I was given a beer glass, on which the owner wrote a special text for me. The drink I received when I left the restaurant was also delicious. A cozy, casual atmosphere in a nice Italian restaurant! 27/07/2024 We ate here again as agreed. Had a nice evening on the terrace on a cozy square in Chiavari. The waiter was present in a nice way, pleasant and helpful.

Super well received, admirable service (thanks Jacopo), didn't try the pizzas but the pizzas were very good.
