La Grande Mela In Civita castellana

13/12/2025: An excellent meal in the spring, when sitting outside is more than pleasant. It's a sort of bar for beachgoers, but it's also a restaurant with outdoor seating, and in the winter, if I understand correctly, indoor seating. Obviously, one of its strong points is its proximity to the lake, just a few meters away, with a great view. The service was quick and courteous; we came on a beautiful, sunny day, but not very crowded. I personally was satisfied with the food; I had a good appetizer and an excellent pasta with wild boar ragu in white sauce. I highly recommend this experience, and I'll definitely repeat it.

04/11/2025: The outdoor tables almost touch the lake and offer a charming view of its shores. The service is extremely slow and somewhat confusing (the courses are staggered in timing, resulting in everyone finishing their own meal). The selection and the courses are generally average. The best dish is the roast whitefish (which is also a good size). The extremely long service times (and the inconsistent timing) are mitigated by the very large crowds, especially on a beautiful autumn day. Definitely worth trying again...
