23/08/2024: Tried the restaurant.
He wants to be a gourmet, but in the end it's an inn, the service is done by a very kind boy who is in shorts (this is suitable for the inn version, it's not suitable if you want to be a refined restaurant), there are few dishes in the menu and this would also be good if they were all good. It wasn't like that.
Tried their giardiniera with tuna, without vinegar, with vegetables from the owners' garden, masterfully explained by the waiter, but the only thing that was masterful was the price (12 euros), the tuna is still swimming happily in the sea, the portion is mini bowl, the flavor is not there.
Tried the selection of cheeses, this is good and the price (1.5 per piece) is also adequate.
Tried the plin which the waiter explains are made by them with the intervention of a trusted butcher for the filling which also tells of refined vegetables: high price (15 euros), totally different portions, one with a sprinkle of truffle which is not the sought after one, "but it has its own backbone" (22 euros) is correct, the other two decidedly inferior, they didn't even fill the bottom of the plate and honestly tasted of little.
Try the tagliatelle, I'm told they're good.
To reach the restaurant you have to take a two-way street where barely a car passes, which if you have tried one of their wines, good even if paid well, is not the best, but this is not the inn's fault.
21/08/2024: We didn't stay. But we only went for dinner.
As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Lorenzo and his smile.
He made us sit on the terrace, where we had dinner with a suggestive view. Few dishes on the menu and this certainly says a lot. I was tempted by the fassona steak served with black truffle, upon my request. Delicious. Like the rest of the dinner.
And, above all, what struck me most was the passion with which Lorenzo explained each dish to us.
