La Gardela In Ravenna

Dinner with friends on a Saturday night: recommended by a friend who lives in the area. A historic place, without frills, but with plenty of substance. Quality ingredients and generous portions. Both meat and fish dishes are served, all very traditional. The bill was around €50 for two courses plus dessert, coffee, and a digestif, with two bottles of wine for four people—very reasonable, I'd say! Try it, you won't regret it!

I love everything about this place. Market-fresh cuisine, a stylish but not snobbish ambiance, and excellent service. Good wine. The ragù was incredibly good, just like I had it as a child at friends' houses in Emilia... Thank you 😍

Excellent Romagna food and good value. Attentive and friendly staff.

The place is cozy, though a bit chaotic during peak hours. I highly recommend the Parisian-style fennel and the lemon scallops, which are truly excellent. It's a shame about the pumpkin risotto, which was too al dente and lacked flavor compared to expectations.

A restaurant located in the heart of Ravenna, just steps from the tower. The place is very warm and welcoming, with mostly wooden furnishings, very comfortable chairs, and historic and unique objects scattered throughout. For two, we ordered a gourmet platter, which was very good, with cured meats, a piada, and squacquerone cheese, all very fresh and authentic. Then came a first course, an off-menu dish, Nodini with peas, asparagus, and guanciale. It sounded succulent, but truth be told, the only redeeming feature was the pasta itself. You couldn't taste the guanciale, and very little of the asparagus. Despite being there, the peas dominated the flavor (better to leave them off the menu, in short). A second course, the battered beef sirloin with grilled red tomatoes, which wasn't bad but nothing exceptional, and finally the grilled vegetables, which were excellent, and a half liter of the house red wine, Sangiovese if I'm not mistaken, which was truly excellent. We also had two bottles of still water. I have one more thing to add: when we arrive at the table, they serve us bread (4 slices), which they then automatically bring back when they see it's finished (always 4 slices). What I don't like is that I find it on the bill for those four slices (€2), and let's say that's fair enough, but since they brought it back without us asking (so the bread bill goes up to €4), it doesn't seem fair to me. At least write it on the menu or at least wait for me to order it. The service is very quick but at the same time very rushed, and the customer notices this at the table, so I would recommend being careful with these things and avoiding off-menu fantasies. Total cost with a liqueur and a coffee: €35 per person.

Oggi ho pranzato qui. Locale in centro a ravenna. Staff accogliente anxhe senza prenotazione. Menu con proposte romagnole. Possibilita in estate di pranzare all'aperto. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, servizio veloce. Ottimo il riso alla pescatora

Restaurant (touristique) avec un emplacement extérieur très agréable. L'accueil et le service sont chaleureux et sympathiques. La friture de poisson est bonne, par contre le lapin un peu sec et un gros hic sur le parmesan servi avec les pâtes qui n'a pas vraiment le goût de parmesan ( très très léger en goût...). Merci quand même à l'équipe très sympa!
