La Francescana In Roma

We went to La Francescana for lunch on Sunday and had a great time. We had a gricia and a carbonara and enjoyed both. The staff was very kind and welcoming, and we also really appreciated the attentive service given to our daughter. They brought her tortellini in broth first, and only then did our dishes arrive. I don't know if it was a coincidence, but this was very convenient because it allowed us to take care of her first and then eat ourselves without having to leave our dishes cold. We ate outside because the weather permitted, and we had a great time: the area is quiet and pleasant. Overall, it was a great experience, and we'll gladly return.

It was recommended to me at my hotel years ago, and I usually go to Rome every April for my birthday, so it's definitely a must-visit, either two or three times during my stay. It never disappoints, and the service is exquisite. I hope to see you all again soon.

Local atmosphere, good Roman food, good price.

Great location in the Prati neighborhood, a pleasant and elegant area to walk around. The atmosphere is nice, with well-dressed and polite guests. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, all with a clear Italian spirit, and there seem to be more locals than tourists, which is a positive sign. Prices are mid-range and consistent with the area. The main downside: there is a huge “Pizzeria” sign at the entrance, but the pizza is clearly the weakest part. It is neither Neapolitan nor Roman style; it feels industrial and does not seem homemade. If you come expecting good pizza, you will likely be disappointed. Service is very slow. You should plan for at least two hours, and not because of the kitchen but due to the dining room staff, who appear disorganized and inattentive. The dining room is also large and very noisy, making it hard to enjoy a relaxed dinner or have a proper conversation. Probably better suited for large groups than for an intimate meal.

Atmosphere is great in there. It is usually a place for locals, no tourists Pasta are delightfull and portion are big and at affordable prices But the chicken was so dry and hard , that i chew it with big difficulty, a total fiasco. So disapointed 👎👎

We discovered this restaurant by chance, and I have to say it was a wonderful discovery. Delicious food, excellent service, friendly staff. I highly recommend it.

Superb. We had amatriciana and scallops, both delicious. Mouth-watering. Very friendly staff. We'll be back.
