25/08/2024: We took takeaway! What can I say: very good meat, I didn't even chew it, it melted like butter, the side dishes were also excellent, honest prices, friendly staff and then they speak to each other in Salento dialect which gives that touch of style that tourists like !
24/08/2024: During our holiday in San Foca, we had the pleasure of dining in a barbecue restaurant which turned out to be a true jewel of traditional Apulian cuisine. The place, welcoming and rustic, immediately caught my attention for its family atmosphere and attention to detail. But it was the quality of the food that made this experience truly unforgettable.
We started with meatballs that were simply divine: soft on the inside and perfectly golden on the outside, tasty and well seasoned, their taste took me back to the authentic flavors of the past. Next, we savored bombette, one of the culinary symbols of the region. They were succulent, cooked to perfection and released that unique flavor given by the cheese and bacon filling, enhanced by masterful grilling.
The skewers, carefully prepared and cooked to perfection, were a riot of flavours. Each bite offered a combination of tender, well-spiced meats, alternating textures that made each bite a pleasure. Finally, the sausage: tasty, succulent and with the right balance between fat and lean, which enhanced its flavor without making it heavy.
The entire experience was a journey through the authentic flavors of Salento, accompanied by attentive and friendly service. The quality of the raw materials and the mastery of preparation have made each dish a masterpiece of simplicity and taste.
In conclusion, this grill represents a must for anyone who is in Salento and wants to taste the true traditional Apulian cuisine. A place where food is not just nourishment, but a celebration of local flavors and traditions. I will definitely come back.
