I've known this restaurant for years and have always frequented it for its excellent first courses and, above all, for its high-quality Italian meat. It's always been one of those places where you can't go wrong.
Yesterday, however, I discovered something new that really surprised me: about five months ago, a dedicated pizza room opened, called Il Forno, a new project I'd heard about through word of mouth and finally decided to try.
The pizza was a real revelation. The dough is well-hydrated, light, and, above all, very digestible. It's not your typical Neapolitan pizza—as the master pizza chef passionately explained—but an interesting blend of Neapolitan and Roman traditions, resulting in a truly balanced result.
Another strong point is the raw materials, with top-quality ingredients that truly make the difference.
I also really appreciated the service: courteous, attentive, and helpful, with explanations of the products and pairings that make the customer feel welcomed and involved.
A truly successful innovation that brings high-quality pizza to the area and is definitely worth trying.

The welcome is exceptional, the staff courteous and professional, the restaurant is an old, historic farmhouse, discreetly maintained, very clean, with a large open kitchen, and excellent quality meat, pasta dishes, and side dishes. They have a large outdoor area with tables and chairs and high tables with stools, exposed to the sun, and a beautiful view.

I tried it last year for a quick business lunch, where I ordered a simple chicken steak. I was struck by the elegance of the place and, above all, the deliciousness of the simple chicken breast.
When I returned for dinner on Saturday night, I was surprised by how low/moderate the noise level was, even though the place was almost full.
The service was extremely kind and helpful; we were always served by a truly sweet young woman, whom I must compliment. It wasn't the kind of service that smothered you or took your plates from under your hands (or vice versa), and she was extremely polite.
As for the ambience, the place is truly elegant: even the pizzeria area (they're the same place, but separate) is very refined and tastefully decorated.
Last but not least, the dishes. What can I say, the cured meats in the appetizer were truly exquisite and all niche, and the cheeses were equally as delicious. The first course was generous, and the ragù was perfectly cooked, but the meat was the icing on the cake: the aging gave a nutty flavor to the fat, and the meat was just the right amount of marble, and the cooking was no exception. In the mouth, it was like a combination of flavors that perfectly blended. Tender.
The cutlery was surprising, too: finally, a knife that cuts meat perfectly.
What can I say? I'll be back as soon as I can.

Extremely friendly staff, excellent ingredients. Wide selection on a quality menu. The pizza is truly delicious and easy to digest. The toppings are top-notch, Made in Italy. Congratulations! It's a shame about the noise from the cars directly on the street below the restaurant, which disturbs the quiet.

Everything was excellent, from the appetizers (plates of cold cuts and cheeses, not to mention the parmigiana) to the first courses (carbonara and knife-made ragù), to the trio of meats (1 kg for 80 euros, we ate for 3 of us) to the dessert (amazing zabaglione).

The food was good, but average. I would have liked a regular coffee, especially since how do you choose a coffee you don't know? And on top of that, €4 for a coffee, with portions worthy of a fine-dining restaurant in a trattoria!

I will give this place 4 stars for the food not because it was not good , just because I have been fortunate enough to eat some really good pieces of beef and game.
Again. Overall the food was very nice, I really enjoyed the cheeses etc. I just felt that with all the hype, dry ageing rooms, meat displays etc I was in for a carnivorous treat. I will return for another meal. Definitely on my places to eat list .

Cozy place with plenty of tables. Excellent cured meats and cheeses, not to mention the trio of tender, flavorful slow-cooked meats. For starters, I had the (giant) ricotta and spinach ravioli with red and yellow cherry tomatoes 🤤. The waitress who served us was...TOP!!!
