This elegant and clean restaurant, located right on the doorstep of Ortigia, is a haven of tranquility. From the owners to the staff, everyone is incredibly helpful and friendly. You can choose to sit inside or outside on the veranda, both lovely options; we chose the outdoor seating to enjoy some food overlooking the sea. As soon as you open the menu, you'll find a wide selection, a display of fresh fish sure to catch your eye, and generous dishes.
Plus, there are several vegetarian options.
Highly recommended.

The place was suggested to us by a friend and also by the owner of the house we had rented for a few days... really excellent food and fresh fish. The swordfish caponata was a real surprise for us. And even the pasta with tomato and basil taken for the little one of the house was superb!

Me and my friend had an amazing meal here; the service was quite luxurious, the fish was excellent and the meals were very tasty, yet the prices were very moderate. The location has a nice view over the water and the sunset.

I don't quite understand some of the reviews. If 70 people go at once, it seems normal that there's some chaos and waiting.
In our case, we had a wonderful meal (caponata with swordfish, spaghetti alle vongole, and spaghetti alle siracusane) and the service was equally excellent. The restaurant is beautiful and located next to the estuary.
Prices are similar to other restaurants in Ortigia.
What more could you ask for!

For a few years now, the appointment with La Darsena has become a constant in our stay in Syracuse during the period of performances at the Greek theater. A very welcoming restaurant that offers a wide selection of fresh fish of excellent quality, cooked very well. The slightly secluded location of the restaurant with respect to the Ponte Santa Lucia allows you to benefit from the right amount of privacy that you appreciate when you are seated in the restaurant. Efficient and friendly service. Competent owner and very kind with customers.

UNIQUE experience!!! Thanks to professionalism, experience, courtesy and desire to improve, courteous and very prepared staff, I would like to say a few words about the dish I ate: "PERFECTLY BALANCED", because that's the best you can say when the fish is fresh and cooked perfectly!!!!
