Rather than a restaurant, I found a trattoria more appropriate, which isn't a disparaging term, it just puts more emphasis on their menu. Overall, the food was average, the plating was average, and the service could use some work. I found the welcome to be rather spartan: you sit down, they give you the menu, and within a minute they ask you what you're ordering, as if giving a customer a full 10 minutes would waste their time. Their house wine was significantly watered down, which, if you were planning to pair it with something local, wouldn't make a particularly positive impression. They bring your dishes without explaining what's included. Of course, explaining might be pointless, given that you know what you ordered, but failing to explain what's included in a professional manner is typical of places serving mediocre, home-cooked food. In short, making a difference isn't the strong point of many Calabrian restaurants, and I'm sorry, being one myself.

Excellent service in a very nice atmosphere. Delicious lunch (ricottine, homemade ravioli filled with stockfish, pork rolls, truffle, coffee (on offer!), and Amaro). I've been coming to this beautiful place for years (2000). Thank you.

La Cucciarda is a restaurant serving traditional Calabrian cuisine.
You can enjoy excellent dishes using traditional Calabrian products, especially stockfish.
I also recommend the house antipasto because it features all local products, from Calabrian cured meats to specialties like battered zucchini flowers. The first courses also feature stockfish, including the famous struncatura, a unique local dish you definitely must try.
The owners, Pino, and all his staff are always very kind and professional. When you dine at their restaurant, you're not just a customer, you become part of the family.
I'm always grateful for the hospitality he gives us every time we dine there, and I thank him and his entire family.

Servizio rapidissimo, antipasti superlativi, da finire il pranzo già così. Pizza ricca e gustosa con grande varietà di scelta. Ritornerò sicuramente. Prezzo non so che dire perché ero ospite😉🤣
