Yesterday I went to La Ciociara restaurant in Amaseno (FR). In this small town, you can still enjoy local meat and truly authentic products. I tried the buffalo steak and the buffalo cacciatore stew for the first time: tender, flavorful, and truly unique. For my first course, I ordered fini fini, a typical local pasta dish, homemade, with a delicious ragù.
The location is very vintage, with an atmosphere that seems to take you back to the 1970s, especially the bar with its period balcony. The dining room is filled with the aromas of the kitchen, and the rooms are spacious and welcoming. One thing struck me most of all: a glass partition separating the dining room from the kitchen, where a fireplace was lit and the staff warmed themselves by it. A simple scene that brought back memories of my childhood, when homes always had stoves and fireplaces.
The cuisine is simple, homey, based on local products and traditional recipes. The only downside: I was served by two young men, one of whom was truly rude. Every time I thanked them for the dishes, he never responded. A detail, sure, but one that's out of place in a place so steeped in tradition.
Recommended for everyone, including families with children.

A place where the goodness of food is celebrated. The appetizers are excellent, with their ricotta and buffalo mozzarella being a real treat. As for the first courses, what can I say? The delicately chopped and handmade gnocchi are to die for, with dreamy sauces. The second courses, buffalo mozzarella and goat, are a gastronomic delight. In short, everything is truly delicious, even the simple yet delicious side dishes, not elaborate like grandma used to make them. The bill is a dream...
