La Cima In Sirolo

"You're almost in paradise here..." the shuttle driver tells us when he arrives at the hotel to take us to the beautiful San Michele beach. He's right, the location is enchanting. The hotel is housed in an ancient monastery immersed in almost pristine nature, surrounded by woods from which magical trails branch off for hikers. We're almost at the top of Mount Conero, and the view is breathtaking: you can admire the sea and the coast to the south. A Northern European choir stays at the hotel for a few days every year and delights guests with a concert in the romantic Romanesque church. We stayed in a superior deluxe room, very spacious and with beautiful trompe l'oeil frescoed walls. Suites with an adjoining garden and sea view are available, as are more basic rooms created in the old monastic cells. The breakfast buffet is excellent and plentiful. We didn't try the restaurant, but it's definitely worth it, given its splendid terrace, even just for a drink at sunset. The service is attentive and helpful. A swimming pool and tennis court complete the picture for a wonderful, relaxing stay.

Elegant hotel located within old monastery walls 500 meters above sea level near Sirolo and Ancona. Magnificent panoramic views of the coastline and as far as Loreto (a pilgrimage site). Excellent cuisine and wellness offerings. A hiking paradise.

Wonderful place: ideal for relaxing and enjoying nature and good food. The view is stunning, the staff very professional and friendly, with special mention for the maître d': a man of extraordinary elegance. The restaurant serves dishes that beautifully combine tradition and innovation, exquisite yet light. The dining room offers a sea view. The coffee is Illy quality. If you happen to be here, I recommend visiting Sirolo and Recanati. There are also many trails for walking or mountain biking. I will gladly return.
