Eccezionale . Maria Grazia ogni sera ti allieta con la sua simpatia e soprattutto con i suoi piatti . Cibo spettacolare , sapori unici . Chi si trova in Salento e non ha ancora provato la Chiacchieretta non sa cosa si perde . Superlativo tutto .

Small restaurant on the main square. The ladies are extremely friendly. The food is very good (the horse meat morsels are excellent), as well as various fried dishes.

Truly authentic home cooking. Generous and tasty dishes at fair prices. All in a small Salento square away from the tourist crowds. The woman serving us was very kind. The dedication book she gave us at the end of the dinner was an added bonus ❤️

We dined here on a hot evening in early July, outside, overlooking this deserted square surrounded by majestic buildings, a symbol of a glorious past. Everything seemed like a mirage, conveying a wonderful sense of peace. This atmosphere was perfectly in tune with this small, simple corner restaurant, where the owners are all very friendly and the food is local, home-style. A wonderful experience! We loved the "Frittino Chiaccheretta" and the offal dish, sold by the piece, with its name in the local dialect that I'll never learn :).

The first spumone of my life!! Almonds and figs for a combination of flavors for the palate.... everything delicious and rich. Generous and heartfelt portions. Unique atmosphere, absolutely to try.

05/09/2025: A restaurant and pizzeria in the center of Alliste, committed to excellence. The staff is attentive, precise, punctual, and friendly. It was our second time here, and I want to emphasize the improvement in the food compared to years ago. I recommend it both for the food and for the little touches they gave us. The bill for 2 appetizers, 3 appetizers, 1 first course, excellent bottled wine (Negramaro vinified as a white), water, and a cover charge was €60, in line with what I expected. See you soon.

04/09/2025: Really enjoyed our evening here. The food was delicious and there was a good menu with good choices. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly and professional. The wine recommendation was very good and we enjoyed the wine. We returned 2 days later and had the same wonderful experience. Sadly we must return home so cannot return to Matisse but would highly recommend it. Grazie.
03/09/2025: My roots are in Salento, but I live in the north, and every summer I can't leave without dining at Matisse. It never disappoints; everything is perfect, with a menu that's meticulously crafted in both quality and presentation. The staff is professional and attentive. They never disappoint; every time it's a pleasant and tasty discovery. Well done.
