La Certosa In Roma

Excellent fish restaurant in the popular Roman style, very fresh fish, delicious dishes and a welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be back. Compliments to Loredana and all the staff.

I discovered this place thanks to the program "4 Ristoranti". I can only confirm the excellent impression I already had while watching the episode. Good fish, characteristic place and maximum kindness of the staff. I recommend it for a nice informal lunch or dinner where the substance is squared and not the appearance. Ciao. Massimiliano

I want to give la Certosa 5 stars, because it deserves more than the sad 3.9 that is currently displayed on google. Are the plastic tables and chairs pretty mobilier ? No. Should you speak italian in order to understand something from the (oral) menu ? Yes. This is not the typical restaurant you will find in the center of Rome. It's a very authentic place, and it certainly isn't for everyone. But that's what makes this place special and i wouldn't change it for a thing. If you come here, you must be ready for generous food (in flavors and quantity), to wait a bit to be served, and for "spartan" waitresses. Tonight, we were lucky, they even had tiramisù and it was good !

I was in this place last night and I must say that it was a pleasant discovery. The food was excellent and from the flavor I perceived the raw material, generous portions and fast service. The only advice I can give you is to take care of it a little more inside. For the rest everything was fantastic.

Great local place to eat seafood. Very calm and uncomplicated. Off the beaten track and very welcoming. Very nice spaghetti vongole and inexpensive wine and a great tiramisu!

For me, the La Certosa restaurant is one of those unique places that I fear gentrification will take away from us one day (perhaps with a change of management). A bar (one of the ugly, neighborhood ones) that is also a seafood restaurant. It has a few seats inside but the ideal is to eat outside, in the small square. The food honestly isn't the best: the starters are good (I ate sauté and calamari alla Luciana). The first (spaghetti with clams) was disappointing (bland, oily) but I consider it a stumble because I have eaten better ones in the past. I will continue to go because it always puts me in a good mood
