21/02/2026: Exceptionally good. The aroma wafts through the air as soon as you walk in. Not just a smell – the scent of wonderful food. And that's exactly what it is. There were 10 of us, and we enjoyed five courses together. Italian seafood cuisine with soul, of the finest quality and with meticulous attention to detail. Thank you!!!
21/02/2026: Well, this is one of the things I love most. The things that give meaning to a 1000km day trip 😂
I leave before dawn for Ancona, where I meet Paolo for the agreed-upon meeting and (immediately) ask him for a recommendation for a place to have lunch in a couple of hours on the way home.
He suggests Rimini randomly, because wherever you fall, you fall, you land on your feet. But he suggests this place anyway.
I go, find it easily, and immediately find parking a few meters away (perhaps beginner's luck). I take the opportunity to stroll on the beach and then approach the restaurant.
Nice outdoor area with a few tables, recently renovated inside (without overdoing it - these are the places I like) with tables on two levels and very friendly staff.
But let's get to the point... honestly, it's not an easy choice, but after a moment to study the menu, I decide to stick with the classics and order a chitarra allo scoglio (a type of seafood guitar) and a mixed fried fish.
The pasta is fabulous. Cooked to perfection and seasoned even better! With the sauce alone, you could easily serve a soup. Very rich and varied. And it's been a long time since I've had sea asparagus.
In the end, I couldn't help but mop up the entire dish with that magnificent piada wedges they brought me instead of bread.
And to follow, a great mixed fried fish, and if the seafood raised my expectations, the fried fish only confirmed them.
All washed down with a glass of Rebola Bianco still grape Pignoletto, excellent as everything else.
To finish, coffee and cubes of homemade tart, kindly offered as a treat with the coffee. And guess what...? Fabulous!!! 😂😂😂
When I leave, the place is packed, so it went well for me, but next time I come I'll definitely make a reservation.
Bottom line:
Recommended for the quality, the welcome, and the quantity... But tonight, broth 😂!!
