Really nice place surrounded by greenery. We ate outdoors under a beautiful wooden gazebo with the children playing around. They also have an inside room. They are very strong with meat and I recommend the asado they make... the meat is a delicacy that melts in your mouth. They also do pork and steaks. First courses also very good, I recommend the gnocchi with oxtail sauce. Delicious appetizer. The owner is very nice or very approachable. What can I say, we had a great time. Cost between 30 and 50 euros if you take the second one.

Per la consueta gita fuori porta del fine settimana avevamo scelto Capena, piccolo borgo alle porte di Roma. La scelta del ristorante ricadeva su “la casa dei mulinari”. Prenotazione per le 13.00 . Arrivati alle 12.30 il proprietario ci ha fatto accomodare ugualmente a un tavolo all’aperto offrendoci un aperitivo con dei fruttini e bruschette per ingannare l’attesa. Ambiente piacevole , location immersa nel verde, la bella giornata ha fatto il resto. Il pranzo ottimo, rigatoni alla pajata, tonnatelli alla carbonara con asparagi, carne alla brace con verdure. Ottimo carrello dolci e caffè. Non c’è stata una benché minima sbavatura nel servizio e nella preparazione dei piatti. I nostri complimenti allo chef e al personale di sala. Il prezzo 160€ in 4, più che onesto. Consigliatissimo anche per famiglie con bambini essendoci uno spazio aperto .

Stefano's welcome (I think he is the owner) was fantastic: he made me feel as if he had known me all his life. He was ready to meet my needs as a person who has many allergies and literally sat down with me to understand what I wanted/could or could not eat.
The restaurant is warm and bright with a grill in plain sight, I can't wait to go back and try some of their starters!
They will see me assiduously

We were there the other evening with friends from Capena to whom the place had been recommended as a place where you can eat well. Expectations were high but they were largely met. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, we felt like long-time customers even though we were there for the first time. They specialize in Roman cuisine which they offer at very honest prices. The 4 of us spent around €140 eating everything and more: 2 large platters, a second of fried food, 2 first courses to share plus one just for me offered by the very nice owner because the other guests disdained the pajata in the ragù (then instead they had it tasted it and they liked it too!), 2 generous cuts of Scottish meat cooked to perfection as we requested (one rare and one medium-rare), both very good, 2 desserts, 3 coffees and lots of house wine. Maybe only the dessert didn't convince me much, but that's not what will stop me from returning. In fact, maybe I'll go back just to give the selection of desserts another chance. The outdoor space is very interesting, which we will try in a more suitable season. Guys, you won us over! We will return as soon as possible. You are strong, always stay that way!

I came here with my family without knowing what I was gonna eat for dinner, but as soon as we walked in we knew we had to try their meat selection. We started with a shared plate of cold meats and cheeses along side with 'trippa alla romana' .
Then me and my brother split a Costata which was about 1.2kg and my parents took one 'tagliata di manzo' and one 'grigliata mista'.
We had a side of 'cicoria ripassata' and oven roasted potatoes which were alright nothing special. But the meat was rich in flavour and cooked perfectly.
I also had to try the 'fegatelli' from my father because he does not like them, I do not know why because they were amazing.
We finished the dinner with a tiramisù and 'visciole and ricotta crostata'.
Very well balanced desserts.
The cherry on the top is the hospitality of the owner who is gentle and very friendly.
Definitely recommended!
