La Cantina del Macellaio In Riomaggiore

Had lunch. We were warmly welcomed by Sara, who recommended the best dishes. The service was fast and very friendly.

We had simple trophie pesto & pomodoropasta lunch and it was very good; we decided to have dinner there also as felt like non seafood change. The pork shank in beer special & lentils was very good and also my partner enjoyed the 30 euro angus beef steak - we shared a salad - also a glass of red & a white - very enjoyable. Wait staff attentive even though it was busy.

The food here wasn't bad, I'll say that... But it certainly isn't worth your time when there's so many other choices around this amazing country and in neighboring villages, that doesn't serve frozen lasagna, bland meat, and pasta of unknown origin. Overpriced for what you get. Service was fine, overall atmosphere was nice, but nothing memorable.

The lady who served us was so friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. Lasagne and steak were lovely. Very popular so suggest arriving when they open at 7pm. Highly recommend.
