La Cantina degli Spiriti In Iglesias

A restaurant with a unique atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. We were able to dine outside of regular hours. The menu features a few select but high-quality dishes, with plenty of vegetarian options.

We went there for lunch. Delicious Sardinian dishes. Large portions. Excellent value for money. Very friendly service. Lovely terrace in a quiet, car-free alley.

A super welcoming place, both inside and out, in the heart of Iglesias's historic center. We stopped for a quick lunch and it was a real discovery: wonderful fregola with octopus sauce, excellent fregola with artichokes, and, for our gluten-intolerant daughter-in-law, a delicious pork shoulder cooked at a low temperature in red wine. We continued with grilled octopus with pumpkin and Treviso cheese, and cauliflower and shrimp croquettes with a mouth-watering mint sauce. Everything was excellent and of great quality. Super fair pricing, and the background music was delightful. Highly recommended.

Magnificent! I ate a delicious octopus dish at the Cantina two days ago for the first time. I won't be able to come back for a while because I'm going back to my mountainous homeland.... The Cantina degli Spiriti is located in the historic center of Iglesias, a very quaint town. It's a lovely place, with a lovely vintage atmosphere and good craft beers. I have a small, constructive comment for the manager regarding the food: the portions and sides need to be more generous. The dish should be hearty and not plain; for the price, I think that's a more than fair request. The sandwiches are high-quality, but be careful about the contrasts; not everyone likes raw onions and pork. I liked it, but flavors aren't all the same. Increase the portions first; the price you pay allows you to do so without any problems. 😉

Superb plant-based atmosphere with jazz music 👍 The vegetarian dishes are amazing

This is my third time trying this place, and I personally find the only flaw: being on a street in the historic center (closed to traffic, of course), the tables and chairs are a bit sloping. Fortunately, this is compensated for by a young but expert staff, who delight the palate with ever-changing inventions and clever reinterpretations of splendid Italian and Sardinian cuisine. The platters are innovative and always changing, and the sandwiches are top-notch. I recommend it.

We visited this place for an aperitif and then a few nights later for dinner, with a vegetarian burger and an excellent beer. We were very pleased with the atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff. Recommended.
