La Campagnola is a true legend in the Amatrice and Abruzzo restaurant scene.
Respect for tradition, expert use of raw materials, and mastery in combining them.
This and much more is
"La Campagnola", an incredibly welcoming place, full of love, purity, and genuine feelings that tell the food and wine story of the legendary Amatrice.
Despite the immense tragedy that Amatrice experienced in 2016 with an earthquake that literally wiped out entire towns, razing them to the ground, the custodians of the Amatrice tradition have managed to remain standing and continue what has made them famous throughout the world.
Dishes rich in flavor that linger on the palate but, above all, in the soul and heart, filling the voids with intense emotions.
Art, craftsmanship, and passion are the tools that live in the hands of those who transform excellent raw materials into authentic culinary masterpieces.
Dishes that fully respect the flavors of the raw ingredients, enhanced by a combination of perfectly balanced elements.
Flavors reminiscent of aromas that bring to mind places and the magic of certain dishes are the experience I love when evaluating a restaurant.
Here, EVERY dish is executed to perfection, and this gives a clear idea of the level of quality you can experience in this temple of Amatriciana excellence.
The waitresses who served me were unparalleled in their kindness and friendliness.
Extremely professional, perfect service with incredible precision.
Absolute master of the dining room with over 200 people...and there were only 2 of them.
Let's start with the star dish of the table: Spaghetti all'Amatriciana.
The best amatriciana I've ever eaten in my life.
The exceptionally high quality of the perfectly utilized ingredients, such as the Amatriciana guanciale, homemade following an ancient recipe, the freshest tomatoes, and the homemade pecorino cheese, ensured that everything was beyond perfect.
Despite the 200-plus people crowding the room, I was greeted with a wonderful smile, and that means a lot to me.
From the passion of these people, something truly unique was born, and as we know, when love and passion merge, the result can only be excellent.
A perfect symposium of flavors and aromas that inebriate the senses, the heart, and the soul.
Incredible balance of each dish, further enhanced by the spectacular skill of those who use their talent in the kitchen.
Lamb, mutton, and grilled lamb skewers...what a flavor spectacle!
Apotheosis of flavor.
The texture of the meat, cooked to perfection, was perfect.
The red wine was excellent!
Full-bodied, intense, firm, and with a persistent depth on the palate and a decisive finish, it pushes all the flavors with every bite, blending perfectly with the ingredients.
In the glass, it strikes with its intense and vibrant color.
On the nose, the aromas evoke Sorrento lemon, the scent of fresh grass, and the sea.
Finally, the Tiramisu arrives...
Opera Summa Maxima.
It was something literally divine.
The common denominator of each dish was the perfect symbiosis of flavors, aromas, and above all, the ingredients, masterfully combined.
What can I say... I'll be back again and again!
Kudos to this wonderful company and its protagonists who, with passion, love, and skill, manage to make those who decide to enter their world happy.
A deep bow to the courage of the Amatrice people 🙏🏾.
Thank you so much for everything 🙏🏾🙂💙🩵

These are the places I like, where lunch becomes a convivial experience, not a quick, cold lunch. We stumbled upon them by pure chance, as we were just passing through; but the stop was an excellent choice. I admit we were surprised by the appetizers, thinking there was only a platter, but instead there were five other courses. Among them, the tripe was fantastic. For the first course, we went for the classic: the Amatriciana, a generous portion for us, but normal for a restaurant. The house wine was good, which for us was a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo red.
I should add that the lentils were good, even though I'm not a big fan of lentils and have trouble eating them. Having eaten them, I can say this is a top-notch restaurant.
