We stayed at this hotel for two nights 3-5 October 2025 and were truly impressed. The staff were polite and attentive, the food was absolutely delicious, and the service was excellent. The room was spotless and well-equipped. The bathroom has featuring several types of shower options — both overhead and lower jets and was fully stocked with a wide variety of toiletries, including shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and even cotton swabs. I especially want to mention the bed linens: they were snow-white and of very high quality. The location was also perfect — very close to the port, which made it easy to take pleasant evening walks and quickly return to the hotel. Overall, our stay was wonderful, and we would gladly come back again. Thank you to the entire team for a wonderful stay — we truly appreciated everything.

Location and service were fantastic. So nice to be able to walk off the boat to Amalfi and be steps from your hotel. Breakfast is solid. Staff is friendly and great.

I got married in Amalfi in September 2025, and about 20 of my family members stayed at Hotel La Bussola for our wedding weekend. We originally recommended this hotel because of the amazing location right in the heart of Amalfi and the fact that there was an elevator - which was so helpful for our older guests and saved everyone from navigating the Amalfi Coast stairs with their luggage!
From the moment my family members booked their rooms, they were telling me how helpful the hotel staff was with answering questions and helping arrange transportation from the airport. The communication and attention to detail before they even arrived was impressive.
Then upon check-in, my family members continued raving about the hotel and how welcoming and accommodating everyone was! They felt so taken care of throughout their entire stay.
They also told me how amazing the on-site Sea Waves Bar was - it became a favorite gathering spot for our group throughout the weekend!
Thank you so much to La Bussola for helping make my family's first experience on the Amalfi Coast so enjoyable and memorable. As a bride, it meant the world to me knowing my loved ones were in such great hands. They had an amazing time at your hotel, and we can't thank you enough for being such a special part of our wedding celebration!

An amazing location, very nice staff, delicious breakfast, clean rooms. The only negative is if you’re looking for a cold room with air conditioning, this isn’t the spot for you. It’s an eco friendly resort so they keep it on the warmer side. Other than the AC it’s a great place.

Everything was perfect at the hotel, nothing to complain about, but...
... important information for all electric car drivers who want to charge at the hotel's advertised charging station.
We charged approximately 60 kWh, then got a nasty surprise at checkout.
Charging costs 125 EUR. Excuse me? What does that cost per kWh? No answer... Charging costs 125 EUR.
After letting that sink in, I asked for an invoice because I wanted to bill it as a business expense. Answer: There's no item that lists charging. Charging is billed together with parking.
So I received an invoice for 250 EUR that lists parking. The 125 EUR is included.
So please ask beforehand before you fall for this.
I'm curious to see if the hotel responds to my review; the way this went down looks more like a rip-off.
When parking, it's clear in advance that the parking space costs €30, but when charging, there's no information or price upfront. Let alone transparency afterward.
Unfortunately, that tarnished the positive impression, a shame...
Additions to the hotel management's responses below...
To state clearly again: We charged our electric vehicle in three hotels on our tour of Italy. In all of them, we knew in advance what the kWh cost and received a proper invoice that clearly stated how many kWh were charged and what the kWh cost. So everything was fine, transparent, and clear in advance.
The hotel management's response clearly shows that there's no understanding of the issue at all, and they even blame the guest for complaining. Clearly, because they're supposed to pay €125 for charging, without any proof beforehand or even afterwards of what the charging actually costs. Not to mention a proper invoice.
That's the end of it for me, especially given the hotel management's reaction and response.
I think guests can read everything from the review and ask the store in advance for more details so the same thing doesn't happen to them. Unbelievable...

A hotel with spectacular views from the rooms, modern and functional with Vietri ceramics. The only flaw is the dated bathroom with chipped floors and an old, let's say...useless whirlpool tub. Excellent service, though the waiters at breakfast seemed a bit rushed and annoyed; otherwise, the ladies were very courteous. Special praise to the young man at the beachfront. The food was good. The only downside: with the room prices, I wouldn't charge for parking and lounge chairs. Overall, a great stay.
