The fried food is delicious...
28/06/2025: Booked for a dinner, table already ready upon arrival. (And we also arrived early).
The location is unique, inspired by the name from which the place takes its name, Guernica.
As soon as you enter you can already perceive a wave of art that immediately highlights the uniqueness of the place.
You can choose between an internal and external room (there is also an additional room used not only for catering but also for any events such as birthdays, graduation parties, etc.).
The first thing that catches the eye is the care and attention to detail, starting from the mes en place, up to the research and attention with which the ingredients are chosen.
We ordered a steak, and it was served correctly with the requested cooking (a factor that is absolutely not a given), and a pizza.
It was very pleasant to note that the ingredients used for the pizza are first choice.
The mozzarella used is a beautiful fior di latte km0 (obviously buffalo mozzarella is also present), FINALLY a restaurant that uses REAL MOZZARELLA.
Continuing with the dough (leavened for 48 hours, and you can taste it), we are at the level of what I would have no difficulty in defining as the dough for the perfect pizza.
Both in terms of taste, consistency when biting, and alveolation.
The pizza chef definitely knows how to do his job, which combined with the quality of the ingredients chosen, result in a pizza that you MUST try.
The artistic drive of the restaurant is also present in the shape of the pizza, square, which gives an additional added value to the quality found (on request it is also made round).
There is also the pizza alla pala with a leavening of 72H.
I will definitely be back, and I can't wait to try it.
To accompany we also ordered a piadina and a very simple salad, but simple, does not mean obvious at Guernica.
Even the piadina, was almost perfect.
And here too there is no lack of attention to detail, a bottle of extra virgin olive oil was brought to the table.
Not small sachets with no taste, a WHOLE BOTTLE.
We consumed dinner, and between the surprise between one bite and the next, and the kindness of the staff we had a great evening.
Here is a small personal consideration.
The girl who took the order is my favorite.
In conclusion, Guernica is a one-of-a-kind place, which offers you excellent quality ingredients (and very difficult to find) AT A PRICE THAT IS VERY ACCESSIBLE TO EVERYONE.
And the quality of the ingredients is accompanied by an environment and attention to the customer, which will guarantee you a unique evening, far from the restaurant stereotypes to which, unfortunately, we are accustomed in Taranto.
A place THAT IS ABSOLUTELY MUST TRY for anyone looking for a quality experience at the right price.
I conclude with the desserts, homemade, we ordered a coconut and nutella dessert, it is a dessert that is inspired by the kinder paradiso.
Anyone who is a cook, in the pastry branch, knows how to do their job.
Prices accessible to anyone, but above all, it is very easy to pay the same amount in other places in Taranto, but eating much worse.
A discovery that will absolutely become a fixed stop.
I ABSOLUTELY recommend this place for anyone who wants to enjoy a dinner in the name of innovation and quality.
