I've lived outside of Rome for several years, and when I return, I always try to stop by La Bruschetta: the flavors are authentic, and the staff is excellent and warm. I'll be back soon, I promise!

I'm back after almost 30 years. I used to come here as a child with my family and to eat with friends in high school. If you're looking for a real Roman restaurant, leave the city center and go to a place that hasn't sold itself to "poshness." Roman pizzerias are like this: a casual atmosphere, a varied menu, generous portions, good food, reasonable prices... less show, more substance.

For an appetizer, we ordered prosciutto crudo. We were expecting prosciutto croutons, but instead got dry, stale bread (two slices) and four slices of ham – all for 9 euros. 💀 However, the pasta made up for it, which was very good. It could have been that we arrived an hour before closing, but it shouldn't have been like that.

01/02/2026: Fair prices and good products, I would give 5 stars if it weren't for a bad experience I had one time in particular: I was standing in line for a while and when I started to order, the lady on staff started taking an order from another gentleman who was behind me, skipping the line, and made a fairly large order, finishing off all the pastries I wanted to order.

Ristorante La Lupa

30/12/2025: A local landmark. Excellent selection of meats, cooked to perfection, from the simplest cuts to the finest. Delicious appetizers, beautifully plated. A simple restaurant, but consistently high in quality. The wine selection is also excellent.
27/12/2025: Lunch with friends. The fish was better than the meat, which arrived lukewarm on a lukewarm plate despite only three tables being occupied. There's nothing worse than eating meat that's not quite ready. The male staff was much more empathetic than the female staff. The location is large but dimly lit. I found the platter for two to be very expensive for the little they give you. The artichokes were expensive (€8 each) and badly fried because they were burnt. Spaghetti with clams was good, as were the fried food and the fish. Aside from the poorly served meat, we didn't have a bad meal, but I wouldn't go back.
