We were already relatively late for lunch, but after consulting the very friendly host, he saved us a table and said he would conjure up something for us - so there was no menu to choose from and no overview of the prices, which turned out to be a negative surprise when we got to the bill. The quality of the food is top-notch, very cleverly prepared and presented. For starters, he served us carpaccio with lemon zest, nuts, and pomegranate. It tasted very good, the meat was excellent, and it was beautifully presented. We also had two glasses of red wine and half a liter of water. For the main course, he served polenta (cooked in a large copper kettle over a wood fire, it looked like) with tomato sauce and homemade salsicca. This course was also delicious. This dish is the best down-to-earth, rustic country cuisine that you would otherwise expect from Northern Italy. What annoyed us was the (non-transparent) bill: We paid €80 for this simple meal: two courses with two glasses (not the usual 1/2-1 liter), half a liter of water, two coffees, and two amari. Dear host, as good as your cooking is and as pleasant as our conversations with you were, charging such a sum for a carpaccio and a polenta dish with tomatoes is downright cheeky.

We arrived very late, and the polenta and sausage were delicious, especially the Molise-style all-meat sausage. Good cheeses and excellent capocollo. The owners were very kind!

A restaurant with a unique location and a friendly dog to welcome guests. We were offered a tasting of cooked and raw meats in various pairings. All the local products were excellent, especially the prosciutto.
The olive liqueur is a must-try.

A surreal experience due to the owners' kindness, dedication, friendliness, and courtesy. We were thrilled, and this is my new favorite place in Cassino. The raw fish is a must-try. A must-try in town.

The location is very close to the abbey, and it's a welcoming and traditional place. The staff is initially prompt and helpful, but service slows down considerably when the place fills up, leading to confusion. Prices are fairly in line with the quality of the products; the only problem is that you can't keep track of the bill, as it's not invoiced.

Excellent and well-maintained restaurant, with a very friendly and helpful owner and staff. A wide selection of cured meats and excellent meats, cooked with love by the owner. The first courses are also delicious, featuring traditional and flavorful cuisine. Excellent value. It's conveniently located on the Casilina Road, and there's on-site parking. I recommend stopping by; you'll be back.
