I discovered La Briciola during the naja, it was 1996 and a few days after I entered the Camandone Barracks I came across this sandwich shop. At the time mainly frequented by conscripts, in addition to the legendary Lello and the varied list of sandwiches for all tastes with names linked to the local military tradition, there were K rations, echelon cues, berets with friezes, scarves of the 26th Bergamo regiment, in short La Briciola had become an offshoot of the barracks itself. Returning to it after the 1910s, many things have changed, compulsory military service no longer exists and Lello has also evolved, removing those objects linked to the barracks but leaving unchanged the names of some sandwiches linked to that period of gruffs and grandparents. The sandwiches are fantastic and there is a lot of choice. If you find yourself in Diano Marina and you're hungry, stop by, you won't regret it.
